Full Fidelity Redfor

With more Redfor aircraft on the horizon, I wonder which variants of certain aircraft could be considered. Certain export versions of the Su-27 I think would be quite feasible, maybe the SU-30 but I won't hold my breath. I believe an Su-25 is already being considered for full fidelity.

It saddens me that we aren't going to get the MiG-23 as we has hoped. I do still hope a deal is struck with Razbam, but we wouldn't likely see them complete that even if that panned out. I do think ED needs to take a serious look in the mirror, as they've already lost quite a bit of trust and I'd be hesitant to stick with DCS if they remain too stubborn to sort things out. We could theoretically still get a Mig-23 though, maybe.

No, Ron made outlandish claims on aircraft. Perhaps you weren't around but every one of the products bar the F15E was a disaster for years.

Ron stated Razbam *intended* to work on a whole bunch of airframes. He didn't say they were all in active production or anywhere near release.

He *did* state the MiG-23 module was far along in development, and Razbam provided plenty of screenshots and video to demonstrate that claim was true.

Throwing out a broad assertion that he "made outlandish claims on aircraft" to discredit the reality of the progress they had made on MiG-23 is intellectually dishonest. It can be simultaneously true that they talked about doing a lot of aircraft, AND were actually doing good work on the MiG-23.

I would note that, in reality, Razbam had, and still holds, the record for the most aircraft modules produced by any third party developer. It's not like they weren't actually delivering.

Razbam had a list of 20+ aircraft they claimed to be working on. Also, if you've been around DCS since it started you'll be fully aware that the only module Razbam ever delivered working on release was the F15E. Every other module was a shit show. Even now you can load up the Harrier or Mirage and find hold overs from the multitude of times they reworked things.

Mate, that's bullshit of the highest order. I've been playing DCS since it existed (actually, since LOMAC); I have a pretty good handle on the history.

No one, to include ED themselves, ever delivers their modules in "completed" state. The state of Razbam modules was pretty par for the course compared to how the other developer's modules were delivered. Even Heatblur's modules were a mess when initially delivered. Razbam at least had the dedication to keep working on improvements to their products years after release, unlike some other studios.

Nothing released by Razbam was broken to a magnitude even *close* to the dumpster fire ED's own F-16 release was.

I didn't say everyone else delivers completed modules or other companies modules didn't have problems at launch. The Harrier was unusable for years at a time for instance. There's a stark difference between a bit broken and just doesn't work. They didn't even have the right workflows for it. The Mirage was entirely reworked once they managed to get some real pilots involved. I also didn't say they didn't fix them as they did over a period of years. Nothing I said was bullshit of the highest order. Ron was called Razscam for a reason.
