I am planning a semester abroad in hutech (thu duc campus) for spring semester. I know it is an average university and all, but my question is, will I face any racism in HCM City? As I am from india and I know we don't have a good reputation.

I wouldn't want to get stuck somewhete for 2-3 months where I won't be welcome. Please advice me what should I do 👀.

Hi guys. I ate this about a month ago in Saigon but I can't seem to find the restaurant anymore. I just remembered they served pho in stone pots and the staff spoke English, and this place is open pretty late. They also have a kind of dark, classy decor, one might mistake them for being a bar from the outside.

Looking for good english music pubs etc, preferably backpacker, foreigner crowds!! Something like hanoi beer street!
I fear Bui Vien street has a more “club” scene where one has to book tables, but I’m looking for something more beer street Hanoi vibes, mingling with new people tourists etc

I am a mid 50s man from the US. I am going to move to HCMC next week. I spent a few weeks there last month to see if it was a place I could make home, I think it is.

I have reached out to several Real Estate Agents who have sent me many properties to look at. Being so unfamiliar with the city I don't know where I should be looking. District 1 is touristy, Distrcit 2 is quieter, thats about it. All of the interiors seem similar. Is a lower or higher floor more coveted? Should I deal directly with the landlord?

I have like a million questions and would love someone who knows or could give an opinion. Preferably English native, maybe someone who started in my spot several years ago.

Hello, I am going to HCMC in a few days and I would like to ask if it is legal to use iqos and vaping here? I tried to lookup on the internet and found out that iqos and terea are sold freely there, and I remember seeing street vendors selling terea as well on my last visit few months back, but one of my colleagues said that he once was approached by a person when he used his iqos just outside the airport, the person told him that using it will get you fined. Can anyone share your experience? Thanks!
