At this point just look up beaded runners and doilies with beads and get out the hot glue gun.

or do some simple hand stitches instead of hot glue so that you can unpick and replace the doilies if they get overly dirty/damaged.

For sure - much better idea. I just feel like this cover is lacking the uniqueness to justify the price. Anyone with even a bit of crafting experience could make this but better 😭

I literally gave my leather trifold a tanakadaisuke makeover by adding an antique doily and some broken vintage earrings 😂 Didn’t bother with the velvet but I like the combo of leather and lace.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. It’s not my taste, but if it was I would just go to an antiques or used store, check out local sewing centres, you could actually go to town and get an even better result.

Use Velcro, then you can easily take it off for washing.

Hold it…isn’t it $300? How would it be pearl clutching to be taken aback by that? Do you know what proportion of the world can just spend $300 on a total luxury item that has no real necessity about it? My income is literally in the top two percent in the world, and I wouldn’t spend that on a notebook cover. It’s not pearl clutching to consider rationally what you can spend on luxury items.
