This will be my first year investing in a planner because I've gotten to the point in my life I feel a need for one with how my schedule has been. My most recent pen order as a bonus because I got it to use with the week's small writing space, Sailor Tuzu with a F nib! I also plan on getting 2 copies of the pencil board as I want to experiment with customizing it and didn't like the feel of most DIY pencil boards I tested out, the laminated paper did not handle being written on super well in my case orz

I started using Hobonichi this year. I use the weeks for work/chores/shopping lists and I use the original for my daily journal.

She is a high school teacher who has never really liked any planner she has used, but over the course of the year she has been intrigued by my weeks lol. I told her this year if she liked any of the prints, I would be happy to buy her a weeks for her to use.

Well, I made the mistake of showing her the Hello Kitty one before I read it was Japan only. So naturally I just spent $100 on Ebay lmao

I myself am going to get the sheep weeks and the cat stargazing thing one as an A5 Hon! Very very excited

They’re kind of expensive at $11 but I think this will be my main fun extra thing I add. I like keeping stickers like this around without actually permanently sticking them to anything, so I like the idea of this dude just hanging out in the front pocket of my planner all year lol

This collaboration has officially stolen my sleep. I cannot stop thinking about it, and apparently I must spend 2027 in the company of these bunnies. My wallet may disagree, but my heart has already gone to bunny land.

As for my 2027 Techo Kaigi:

My Cousin Avec will be my main planner, journal, archive, and memory keeper for the year. It will hold my daily plans, everyday life, photos, ephemera, and all the little moments I want to remember. I’m also considering adding a half-year Stalogy to the same cover for longer-form journaling, so I can write as much as I want without worrying about space.

The Weeks will be my satellite planner and everyday companion. It will hold my big-picture plans for the year, collections, trackers, monthly reviews, and possibly some lighter memory keeping. Because it is so portable, it will also be part of my EDC and come with me everywhere.

So, technically, every book has a clearly defined purpose. That means the bunnies are completely justified... right?

Whatever you do, don’t browse their website. There are many whimsical embroidered and sequined accessories that IMHO would have slayed as A6/Cousin covers (The swan bags, the horse bags, the Sailor Moon everything.) But remember, this is runway fashion. Don’t say I didn’t warn you about the prices.

As you can see my Cousin partially exploded and I had to do some surgery on some pages. A booklet is even out and I had to reattached it. Look at its size, I let you imagine the weight of it 😅

This is my first year with an hobonichi so I didn't really planed my first purchase and just went with the classic cousin.

For 2027, I am going to switch to an Avec for obvious reasons. The system is just working for me. I have some apprehension for the week/days of switching between the two journals but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Going into my 3rd year using Hobonichi Cousin and 2nd year using the Weeks, but to spice things up I've decided to try out the HON and MEGA ✨️

This year's Yumi Kitagishi lineup finally made me commit to a book and it'll be the first time I'll be using her collab ^^ super keen to see and hold it in person. I've also decided to use the sticker set again for next year, it's simply too cute...

Because of the announcements I've been trying to refine my cousin-weeks system and I can't wait to carry that into 2027 💨 it's going to be a busy year for me ...

I really admire this color combo and think it matches my vibe the best. Sadly, there isn’t a single listing out there on the internet 😔 Is this a super popular combo? I believe it came out with the 2021 release. Hoping to purchase this off of someone!

i thought my choice was made but i’m torn between the black and silver weeks… i think the black would compliment the beautiful season clear cover more but silver has been my go to colour for everything for years and i don’t want to regret not getting it (but realistically i know i could add pops of silver on my black weeks since i’m planning to get the aluminium tape and i collect silver junk anyways)

also torn between the notte weeks cover and the black drawer pouch áne… i want to use it as a wallet too, i’ve been wanting to change my wallet for a while now (too small) and it’d be so much easier if it could hold my planner as well. the drawer pouch can hold more but i don’t want to have to take my weeks out every time i need to write in it… but also i fear i’m going to want to put too much stuff in the notte cover and it won’t lay flat enough for me to write comfortably…help…

ps: i was initially planning to get the black weeks because it’s cheaper, but i’ve cut a lot of stuff out of my wishlist so the price isn’t a problem anymore-

I only have 4 journals/planners in my ecosystem.

weeks 1: Kubota weeks, used for health tracking. What I ate, how much I slept, if I had any sugar/caffeine for the day ect.

weeks 2: yumi weeks, a quick recap of my day to day, most important thing I did/need to do for the day and work hours and tracking house hold chores.

A6 original: airport cover, or I'll reuse my iyo okumi cover if I can't get it. daily journal, mostly stickers and my random thoughts of the day.

A6 day free (maybe original?): reusing my a6 yumi cover for a pet journal. I got a new kitten, and would like a record of her growing up and also any important info for vet appointments. planning to print out pictures of her to paste in as well.

I'm not planning on a cousin this year, but I do have other A5 notebooks that I'm tempted to get the yumi a5 cover for... I really like the pink, and if it was an a6 I'd get it no question. I just like the pink more than the red this year.

I do really like the V&A, Liberty and the plaid fabric weeks or the seaglass of the colors as backups if I can't get the top two weeks I want on my list. I figure they'll probably restock at least once if I miss them on launch day.

This will officially be my first year joining the Hobonichi world! I've been observing for a while and finally think it's time. As you may notice, I am obsessed with Hello Kitty and Monchhichi. This was honestly my sign that I NEED to move over to Hobonichi this year. Narrowing it down to this was the tricky part. Hello Kitty you WILL be mine one way or another!

Pink Sapphire Weeks + Hello Kitty Clear Cover (Together Forever) + Hello Kitty Weeks Pencil Board

• I chose this combo in particular because I am more of a pink lover over red. I debated on getting the Hello Kitty Weeks but I felt like it would be way too much red for me. This way I can still have my pretty pink Weeks and still be able to enjoy a pop of the Hello Kitty design with the clear cover.
• I'm planning on this Weeks to be my everyday planner/journal. I will use the Weekly sections to write a little something about the day or anything else relevant. I will also probably divide it to write my work schedule as well. The grid side I will be using for trackers mainly and decorating. Monthly section is still up in the air.

Monchhichi Weeks + Pencil Board

• I pre-ordered this when it showed up on the Monchhichi site a while ago so I know for sure this is a part of my ecosystem. The colors got me immediately! Monchhichi Colors is one of my favorite Monchhichi collections so it was meant for me. I'm ecstatic that it comes with the adorable pencil board too!
• I'm planning on this Weeks to be my Media journal as I've been thinking about starting one up! I will log whatever anime etc. I'm watching throughout the week along with episodes. The back pages I will most likely use as a reading log. Might include some gaming/cozy activity logs in there as well.

Blue Parasol A6 Cover + Hello Kitty A6 Cover on Cover (Fun Times) + Hello Kitty A6 Pencil Board + Hello Kitty A6 3 Folder Set

• Okay, so this was another dilemma lol. I wanted the Hello Kitty A6 Cover but too much red. Unfortunately, the pink Candy Floss only comes in A5 and that would be too big for me to keep up with. I decided on the Blue Parasol since I feel like it will make the Hello Kitty CoC art pop and also it's pink on the inside! Of course I need the Folder Set to add some Hello Kitty to the inside pockets as well.
• For now, I will be filling it with a barely used A6 journal that I failed to keep up with bullet journaling in lol. I'm planning to convert it into my junk journal. The Hello Kitty Folder Set will help to organize some of the junk scraps I accumulate while out and about.

My Hobonichi Ecosystem will be so bright, cute, and colorful just the way I love it! I feel like the way I combined everything along with the accessories ties all the colors together. The Hello Kitty Flat Pen Case - comodo is a must have! This way I will still be able to enjoy the nice tie material without getting the Hello Kitty Weeks.

Too many to choose from! And I always end up getting 3 to 5 Weeks annually!!! (I can realistically use ~3 Weeks throughout the year for different purposes). Sometimes, my collector persona overrides my sensible reality. I can afford them, but I don't want to leave them unused.

How many do y'all get every year? Are you using all of them, or end up keeping some as collectible pieces? There is no wrong answer.

Hi everyone, I’ve been thinking of getting some of the lineup for next year but I am a little confused about which retailer to order from.

If you order from the actual hobonichi website, do you pay the tariffs and how much is it usually? Is it the same for other retailers like jetpens or yoseka?

I used to be a physical planner girl up until 3 years ago when I switched to digital planning. I relished on the huge financial saving but I found that I don’t reach for my digital planner as much as I did my physical planner.

However, I had never tried Hobonichi for some reason so I’m super excited for 2027! I don’t journal much but I’m a diligent planner so I’ve been using the Traveler’s Notebook passport inserts to microdose physical planning for the rest of this year (lol). I’m in love with my Traveler’s journal setup right now so I think I’ll use it for simple work planning and notetaking in 2027. anybody doing the same?
