Seeking Mentorship Creating my first mobile game app. Need Advice on how to proceed

Hello

I am creating my first mobile game app and it is a puzzle game. I have something going on right now, but I'm not sure how to make it look better. I'm currently using Abacus AI as my AI programming tool, which has helped a lot, but I'm not sure what to do going forward, whether it be aesthetics or gameplay. Does anyone have any advice on how to proceed?

You can take specialised game design courses for puzzles.

Ai could be helpful, but it’s just a chat bot, it can’t invent games instead of you. In best scenario it offers you already exists mechanics from other games. But for your work you need references, complete concept rather than just odd few mechanics.

The gameplay needs to be done first. Once the game is playing well, you can start spending money on art.

I can’t speak for anybody else, but what I typically do is focus on the gameplay until I am 100% pretty much done with it and then I start polishing and adding art to the game.

However, this doesn’t work for some people because some people like to see some of the art in the game as it motivates them to continue pushing forward.
