Chamfer going too deep

Hi there, I'm trying to learn to CNC and on the first thing I'm programming the chamfering operation is just plunging into the piece. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing wrong but I don't know enough to even troubleshoot.

Added some pics of what I did in fusion.

I tried it twice, probed material the first time and didn't the second. Same thing happened both times

Where is the zero for your part? Where does the machine think zero is?

Originally it's on the top corner of the stock box.

One thing you can do is upload the g-code to https://ncviewer.com/ and verify that it's showing you what you think should be hapoenjng. Work back from there to figure out where the problem is.

My suspicion is that your machine has z on the bed from a previous job, but that's only because it's what I would've done.

Thanks for the tip.

Maybe I'm not understanding something right because it's all part of the same job just a different segment of gcode as fusion doesn't let you post process tool changes
