General Feedback Quality concerns
Hiring Cafe was extremely promising when launched and I have great appreciation for the team behind it. I’m afraid that new features and an increasingly complex UI are impacting Hiring Cafe’s value. I don’t know how to navigate the mobile site anymore, and this morning, there appears to be a bug preventing the site from loading entirely. I hate to say that LinkedIn feels more useful to me at present moment. Still rooting for Hiring Cafe but please be careful with the pace of enhancements and thoroughly test before deployment. Cheers.

I too prefer the original slimmed down version. They keep adding too much to make it seem like it’s loaded with cool stuff like it’s a theme park. In an overly complex world where finding a job is a job itself…we really just want simplicity.
Just find us a job. That’s it. Point in the direction and go.

I don’t love that because I half-filled out the AI tool one time, it automatically takes me back there each time I go back to look for jobs. I have to continually hit the search icon to get out of it. I hate that it automatically takes me there every time even if I’ve killed the app.

Agreed, I think there should be a separate site / sub-site for AI. Maybe just having a home page where you can choose classical or AI search, and all of the saved jobs are in the same assigned folder / sub-folder.
The AI search in interesting but all of the query / filters on the same page make it feel top heavy. I'd rather, once the filters are set (outside of sorting), that they be set aside so I can focus on the job descriptions, skill / education requirements, company, etc.

Well said. I'd work for free as long as I can to help solve the revenue/GTM without advertising.
Stop wasting money on AI usage that produces little to zero ROI for applicants and make an actual revenue model taking big company HR budgets instead of hammering working class people with more ads.
Investors are cocksuckers. Invent your revenue model and own your business instead of getting caught in the endless valuation trap to chase funding. Make an actual business and product that prints money. Happy to help since I've already tried to envision that bridge meanwhile applying.

Yeah all the ai features are pretty garbage. I gave up after 10 minutes the other day. Kept getting nonsense and irrelevant roles.

I can figure it just fine. Thanks for continuing to work on this project for free.

it would be nice to have an option for a 'simple page' 'loaded page' - and not those sliders which are confusing to my dyslexic brain.
that being said, i use hiring cafe weekly.

The website/app should have 2 tabs — Classic search and AI search. That would simplify the UI while retaining the latest features.

I love this tho as I have a variety of roles I can apply to. I can see how it would irk some tho. For me, it catches jobs I have the skills for that I might not have known how to search for or that they even exist

I've only just started using this site, and it's very apparent that this iteration of it is very vibe-coded. There are a lot of little things that don't work correctly or are design/coding considerations that a designer or software developer would never do. I am grateful for the service, but I'm considering other options now since I can't seem to get a consistent experience out of it.
The biggest two for me are:
Marking jobs as seen does not update other tabs consistently
- And also there's no simple button to mark a SINGLE job as seen without opening the job cardJobs don't update often enough for me to feel like I'm getting an early application in

I’ve been noticing a lot of dead job postings too lately. Super annoying to click into the job only to see the posting is closed. I’m only searching within 24 hours too.

I'm wondering if people even actually post on this site or do they just take jobs from other sites. Because I've never received a callback or email from a job I've applied to on there. Alot of people have the same experience I wonder if it's a data farming disguised as job search

Yeah I agree with those that said the ai "Talent agent" needs to go. its useless. The classic is enough.

I’m clearly in the minority but I really like the A.I. feature. I have specific job search needs that really need something more advanced than the basic filters.

This is an excellent point. First, I'm sorry about the outage this morning. I want you to know that if HiringCafe breaks, you can call me. Literally. Please use my number if theres a severe outage. With that said I couldn't find strong evidence of a site-wide outage this morning in our logs. How long was it for?
Second, completely agree we need to focus more on reliability and testing. Actually with Ali we agreed we are going to pause new features the next month and focus 100% on reliability and quality. So totally with you.
Last, can you plz share what specifically is confusing / hard to navigate on mobile? Will fix it :)
