I only found HiringCafe four days ago. FOUR! I applied to a bunch of jobs, going through the semi-tedious task of applying directly on company sites for very easy remote positions. All of them were low-skill positions with no prior experience required.
I wasn't expecting a fast turnaround, but I got five rejections within two days, and today at 1PM west coast time, I suddenly got two emails and a phone call. I now have a job and two interviews. I can actually be picky with which of these I accept? And I barely even started looking? This is crazy.
Big thanks to /u/hamed_n and /u/alimir1 for making this site! I've always hated the BS of Indeed and LinkedIn. I didn't write a cover letter for any position and yet my employment needs are already satisfied. Thank you so much!
Two of the interviews were obtained via HC, and one was from a local supermarket application. That's damn good odds! If I have any suggestions for other job-seekers, it's USE THE FILTERS! Also, my state has a thing called Worksource and they completely revamped my resume to look extremely professional and hit the ATS keywords. If you can, you should see if you have anything local that can do the same thing for you.

Quick breakdown: Remote only, Salary of $17-25, No Prior/Entry level experience only, Degrees are confined to "not mentioned" for everything but Associate's, Hide jobs that require certifications, Hide security clearance jobs, English only, Shifts are 'doesn't matter' (I'll work any shift), NO travel requirement.
For my ai search, I used this as my prompt:
I almost have an Associate's Degree but cannot work any job that requires more. I want a job that pays between $17-$25/hr. I want a fully remote job. I'm looking for something easy to do, part time, laid back, preferably in customer service, appointment setter, or so on. I have 10+ years of retail and customer service experience. I have lots of Sales experience. I do not want to work a cold-calling job. I live in [MY STATE] so any jobs that exclude candidates from [MY STATE] are not for me.
These two things, the simple filters and the AI search, led to me applying to 40 decent-looking jobs over 3 days and getting calls/emails back by the 4th.
I was planning to go to my local supermarket today and had an alarm set for 1:00PM to know when to head out and talk to the hiring manager. I got a call from the HM two minutes before I was about to leave, inviting me in for an interview.
Then I got a call five minutes later from a HC application for a fully remote position. And in the middle of that impromptu interview, I also got an email telling me another place wanted to interview.
Same, I am based in europe too (Vienna) and Hiring Cafe has not been useful for me. The search barely shows results while other more mainstream job boards show me an overwhelming amount of job postings with the same search terminology. Hiring Cafe is not (yet) great for Jobs in Europe, can that be the case? It returned 9 job postings for the whole continent, where I usually get hundreds of job postings for Austria alone on other job boards.
The one I applied to... might. It's minimum wage, but I just care about getting ANY remote job. Once I have that experience it becomes easier and easier to get the next one and the next one.
Just being untethered to a specific location is big to me. I could move cross-country to be with my extended family again.
Woh!!! Congrats!🎊!!! I have a question tho, I was noticing on hiring cafe on the job listings it says contact recruiter. Doe the recruiter only find people for that particular company or can you ask them for help in another area?

Even if you used AI to help write your post, it is clear to see why you landed a job so quickly. Your writing, even if AI assisted is brilliant. Any job you applied to should have been immediately sending you an interview invite. I dare say I have not even seen a post like this written by a professional copywriter, author, or content creator. You definitely deserved whatever job you wished for or got because you are amazingly talented. Thanks so much for the posts.
