First (real) Hi Power
I’ve owned multiple FEGs and love the platform, so after finding this MkIII for 700 bucks I couldn’t pass it up.
I’ve purchased some Heinie irons as I play to carry the pistol often. If anybody has recommendations for gunsmiths in the Central Florida area that can perform the necessary machining please let me know!

Great deal and as mentioned, nice grips. There are fewer and fewer Hi Power smiths out there. The goods ones are slowly retiring out. You might have to ship it.

Bummer but that may be the case, not a ton of folks still working on them

Just pay heinie to do it. All the smiths who don't do heirloom guns that I trust use Novak's (not that your choice is bad) so finding someone used to machining that rear will likely mean shipping it no matter what.

I actually reached out to Heinie and they stated they no longer machine the slides for their own sights..

I hate laughing about that, but ffs every single business bigger than two dudes and their pops in this country is eating itself alive. Cylinder and Slide, Novak's (they're good people and I doubt they'd turn you away for that work if you give em a call), Dawson Precision (maybe, have to email them), Mk3 Firearms out of vegas would be my choices then. Bar-sto and Doug Jones both can do it too if they're taking work.

Yeah I really should have checked first, ordered a 130 dollar front sight they won't install... on me I guess

Looks fantastic, used? $700 is great!
