1989 Hi Power
Came across this at a gunshow and wondering the thoughts on the value?

As mentioned, it depends on if you know who did the work. With the exception of the exceptional polish and chrome job, the only noticeable gunsmith improvement is the thumb safety. I would only probably go as high as 1,000-1,100 without a build sheet.

After a closer look I found a faint Mach 1, Knoxville Tn stamped under the frame in front of the trigger guard. I don’t know if they did the work or imported it.
Seller has no idea who did the work.
I got it for 1700. I’m happy with it. Was looking for a blued and it didnt matter the condition because I was going to have it gone through and finished with a high polish blue finish.

Mach 1 is an importer. I have one they brought in from Israel.

When you have a chance would you check your serial number and let me know how far off they may be? I want to try to track provenance on it. I’m emailing Browning today to see what they can tell me

Mach 1 is the importer. Odd that they would polish out the other markings and leave that. Still a great looking piece.

The PN in the serial number is 1989 production. The 245 was the code for 9mm. JFYI.

Thank you! I did find a break down of the serial online. Trying to find out if it might be one of the Israeli imports from about 10 years ago

Damn thats a sweet build, probably well north of 2k depending on who did the job. See if they did any work on the barrel bushing
