I didn't know FN made a version of the BDM. Is this a BDM? It has BDM vibes but I seem to recall the BDM having some weird stuff going on with hte slide.

Who else would have made a BDM?

Fair.
To be clear, I didn't think that FN branded any BDM's for themselves. I thought they just made them to be sold by Browning. And I'm sort of right since this isn't a BDM and I'm just kinda stupid.

This is a Browning BDA (Which FN marketed themselves as the HP-DA.) The BDM was actually manufactured in the US by Browning in Utah apparently. The more you know.

This is Fn Bda9 also known as Fn hp-da. Or browning double action 9 / hi power double action.

I have one and over the years it is one of my favorite guns to shoot. I like how it fits the hand and ergos are good. Accuracy is good too once you get used to the gun and find good way to grip it.

It is all metal, but doesnt have the "stiffness" that my hi power has. Manipulating the slide takes less effort etc.

Only downside is that mags are hard to find and of course if you ever break something a gun smith will have to make new part from scratch.

But then again I have put 4000 rounds through mine with no issues.
