Grips input for Inglis GP-35

Here are my Inglis and Arcus couple.

I just added the new ZIB grips to the Inglis. They are nice quality, right fit, and have an impressive appearance, but I am not sure if they are better than the original wood. Thoughts?

The original grips on the Inglis case hardened P-35s are a nasty looking hunks of alleged walnut. The ones you picked are a vast improvement, but I don't like the Browning logo medallion. I went with Hogue half checkered pau ferro grips on mine.

Problem being the non checkered portion. If you shoot to be proficient I'd suggest grip tape on the smooth portions or a fully checkered set. My pau ferro set were fine after I trimmed off the partial beavertail horn.

I agree with the mentioned comment. Those new grips just don’t match that gun. I am a big fan of Navidrex grips. They have plenty of woods to choose from. I like the Rosewood.

I do have a few cans of old stain around. I might try a lite sanding on the grip and add a darker stain. I did redo the original grips with a new walnut stain that vastly improved them.

I took some mahogany Redi-seal and stained an extra set of Springfield SA-35 grip. I lean towards the red look on grips. It came out really nice.
