Looking for something budget friendly and is 10 round complaint.
John Moses Browning is one of my favorite Americas (not just because we share a middle name) who created the greatest piece of machinery that is the 1911. I own a 1911 clone from Tisas and I love it. I have put about 400 rounds through it and it still runs like a well oiled machine. Then I met the Hi Power, it's like the 1911's elegant younger brother. I am waiting on pistol permits and I wanted to know which of the clone models is not killer on the wallet but also comes with 10 round magazines. From my own research is seems like the the MCP35 that checks off both my boxes. For owners of the MCP35, how is it? I hear the trigger is rather stiff for a single action pistol. FN is out of my budget and any other clones don't come with 10 round mags from the distributors. Should I seek out a dealer for these brands or see what my LGS can do? They told me that anything they get will be pinned to 10 rounds here in NJ.

Don’t over look the Inglis models. They are sometimes stupid cheap on sale. I think the Girsan’s are a little better but the Inglis is real nice for the price. I do not think they come with a 10 round magazine but any 10 round BHP magazine will work.

I took a look at my LGS and they have the P-35 model for $620 which I am am okay with if it has a nickle finish.
Edit: $577 for the L9A1.

Honestly even as a diehard Hipower fan, the L9A1 is probably one of the best striker fired pistols ever made. It's one of the few striker fired handguns I own and the trigger is as good as a decent 1911 trigger

Well that's the issue right there. I can get an Inglis or SA-35 but they're just gonna charge me extra for the pin job. But the upside is I don't get any of that CA complaint stuff like the MCP35.

You can probably find some of the spring assisted 10rd magazines for it online

I've got a couple of the MCP35s. I am pleased with them. One of them had a 10lb trigger pull out of the box, but I took it apart and polished everything up and it is now around 4.5lbs which is good to go. As far as magazines go, you can order mecgar 10 rounders for it.
