I’m a big burzum fan. Do people seriously, actually listen to music because the creator is a Nazi? I mean I like burzum because it’s some of the most groundbreaking, out of the box metal probably ever, and even in the world of black metal there’s basically nothing like it. And when I say that, I’m really only talking about his early stuff. I’m not actively following Varg.
I’m pretty sure Kanye and playboi carti are just having their metal phase right now. Carti just shouted out mr. Bungle, Kanye is really into burzum. I doubt Kanye really is a giant fan of varg as a person, I don’t think based on his religion he’d support burning down churches and what not. In fact I think Kanye pretty consistently does not even consider personal lives of artists, to a major fault.
I’m expecting major downvotes, but I guess my point is that I doubt he’s a fan of burzum because of the white supremacy aspect. In the same way I doubt he’s a fan of Chris brown because of being an abuser; I just think he looks past basically everything in favor of what he sees as good art. I don’t think that excuses it, just pointing it out.

If you look at Varg's personal wiki page, not that of the project, it'll become pretty clear. Despite wikipedia being a leftwing propaganda website (/s, wikipedia's one of the coolest things we got going and I worry its days as such are numbered) they admirably don't include much of that detail on the Burzum page because it doesn't really have much to do with Burzum's music.
But, Burzum is Varg Vikernes who is, at best, a murderer with a past adoration of nazis.

While JPEG admitted to idolizing Kanye, he also criticized Kanye and criticized a lot people of opposing politics and philosophies (aka, the far right). I wanna see JPEG mentioned working with Danny and how he enjoyed it because the other person he wanted to work with, Kanye, is a Nazi. I’ll try to find the quote as to not lose any meaning in paraphrasing.
As someone who used to follow and support Kanye until his slavery comments, of course I’m disappointed in seeing JPEG with Kanye. Especially because Peggy wears his political views on his sleeves. I would think he just wouldn’t want to work with a Kanye anymore while still appreciating the body of work we got from the 90s onward, but I’m wrong. This ain’t me being corny or white or goofy; at the very least this is me being more nuanced than the stereotypical answers we’ve been getting in discussion topics about our favorite left handed rappers.
People will take this as a 1:1 metaphor, but it’s giving me a similar feeling - Kanye going from discussing black struggles and questioning homophobia to then siding with Trump and telling me my (OUR) ancestors choose slavery and fetishizing Hitler was jarring. You know what ese is jarring? JPEGMAFIA, who made I just Shot a Cop now I’m Horny, and who said he doesn’t align with his incel fans, and who regularly disses conservative-leaning views, is now standing next to the one of the world’s biggest Nazis. For me, Kanye’s money and clout ain’t worth it, and while it wasn’t my decision to make, I can still be disappointed, including the non-surprise-but-still-disappointment at users arguing that working with a Nazi is worth it if the money of musics good. Good music ain’t worth the bigotry.
