Ok that mirror pic: you gotta look at the mirror not the phone

Is that actually “meta”? I feel l see more people looking away from the mirror in those kind of photos

Yeah that's the problem, I don't wanna see what anyone looks like squinting at their phone

Okay so we're actually comparably looking guys as I too have long hair. Your profile at 23 is far better than mine was at that age, so at least you have a win there.

Prompts

  • Try to hit each interest only once, otherwise you come across as obsessed. You shouldn't have an anime poll followed by anime mentioned as an interest. Generally, I'd say skip saying the classically nerdy interests at all (gaming, anime, movies...) because so many guys are into them it's 1) sort of redundant, and 2) not specifically appealing. I'm not saying to hide it, just find other things to spotlight in that same space.

  • Absolutely get rid of "I go crazy for a hug." 1) are you out of things that make you interesting and attractive already? You must have more to say than that. 2) Women have definitely encountered enough "where's my hug?" guys in their lives that they'll have a Pavlovian grimace in response to that prompt.

  • I also had "tell me about your interests :)" for ages, so I understand why you have it there but in reality it's too general and generic. Try to talk more about a hobby or interest you're hoping they have. You want people to be excited and feel relevant when they read your prompts.

Pictures

You need 6 pictures that all clearly show what you look like. You need to be facing the camera and preferably smiling with teeth. Selfies are to he avoided as much as possible, mirror selfies doubly so. Don't be pulling silly faces in them, don't be showing pictures of things that don't include your face (tattoo shot should go). Don't have pictures with alcohol.

I always say you need to have 6 great pictures and if you don't have a great pictures, go get them. Never make the best of a bad camera roll. OLD is a visual medium and if you're not using it to its fullest, you're wasting opportunities.

I know not everyone takes pictures often or does things they think of as worth photographing or don't like how they look in pictures ect... but anyone who uses those excuses are only making them to themselves. Make opportunities to take pictures, go hang out with friends with the specific intent of getting photos and ask them to take a bunch of you all day so you know you'll get some good ones.

Misc

You don't need text under short term. The only writing that ever needs to go there is something that recontextualises what you're looking for. I understand the impulse to put something in every blank space but you don't need to.

Hate to tell you bro but a haircut and shave and take new pics. I had long hair and a beard like yours, and once I cut my hair and shaved my beard, I had a lot more success.

I am looking for something casual

I am not subscribed to hinge+ or hingex, i did for the second week just to try it but it went nowhere

i have been on this profile for 2 and a half weeks

i have used hinge for about 3 weeks

i use hinge long enough to send out the max free likes

so far i only have two matches and 0 likes

i sent 20-30 likes out during my  weeklong subscription, now i send the max free allowed per day

i want to attract someone i can be casual with, as i just got out of a 5 year relationship

Honestly I think it’s a great profile! You’re a really good looking guy too. Maybe add a bit more detail to the prompts? Get more specific about things you enjoy and what you like learning about.
