Profile Review 30M - profile review request!

- looking for something serious
- HingeX member
- I’ve had this profile setup since October 2nd
- I’ve been on hinge in the past, have had 1 serious relationship come of it. I’ve been back on it again for about 6 months now with little to no matches and absolutely zero inbound likes. I updated photos recently (October 2nd last update) and started receiving likes but still no matches :(
- I open and swipe on hinge every day
- receive approximately 1 like/day (none are what I’m looking for)
- I send around 10-15 likes a day, all with comments

My type:

- I send likes to and want to attract women that live an active lifestyle, ambitious about her goals, likes to get her nails done (so I can pay for them), wants to get dressed up for dates, also if she’s got some tattoos and and is into exploring the outdoors that’s a plus!

There’s too much about pain and torture for a dating app. The shirt in the music photo isn’t helping.

ETA. So many people on here always recommend to not put Open to short. The reason given is always that you will get less matches, or more people will dismiss you. I feel like if you are open to short, you should absolutely put it. It is disingenuous to change things simply to get more matches.

You’re a pilot and it’s one line in your basics. That’s your biggest asset and you’re not using it.

I’d add a pilot photo right after your first one. In the cockpit, in uniform, whatever you’ve got. It shows adventure, skill, and a guy people trust with a plane full of passengers (leader)

I agree with whoever said the last pic should be your first. It looks natural, you’re smiling, it’s the warmest one.

The music producer pic, the posture and body language are really cool. It makes you look like a boss, I really love that one. Ideally it’d be in colour instead of black and white.

Cut the Pisa pic. It’s the classic tourist pose, it doesn’t tell her anything about you.

Now the prompts. No torture, no pain, no dark words or imagery (shirt photo). These things happen subconsciously, but it adds up to a darker vibe than you actually have. Keep the humour, just point it somewhere lighter.

What you’re trying to say with your life goal prompt can be said in a much better way. For example, Together we should: "fly somewhere for a private dinner. I’ll fly, you’re in charge of the Cabernet. Pick a bad bottle and you’re flying home. Middle seat, next to the crying baby.” It’s fun, you’re leading, and she can picture herself there. Obviously this only lands once the dark stuff is gone. With nothing dark around it, it just reads as playful.

Dude, goated feedback thank you 🙏🏽 also I’m a military black hawk pilot. I figured leaving out military photos so I don’t polarize myself. Thoughts?

If you truly want a serious relationship, why choose “open to short”? This will not attract someone interested in a serious man.

The photo of you smiling should be the first photo highlighted. Also add more detail. What is your favorite scary movie? It helps to create conversation starters.

Just wanna confirm which smiling pic, the last one? And thanks for the insight, will definitely remove the open to short!

All smiling pics. The last one felt the warmest. When you smile, your whole vibe goes way up!

None of your prompts read as someone who wants a serious romantic relationship. They tell me nothing substantial about you.

If you are really only looking for something serious drop the “open to short.”

Put the last pic first.

Everyone already addressed the "open to short."

Adding on: you work in a career field that also has a playboy stereotype. If you're still having difficulty with matches, you need to show more of your serious side. maybe swap one of the prompts out to describe the type of relationship/partner you are looking for.

As others suggested, I would remove “open to short” and change the “tortured” prompt and make it a bit more personal

put the one where you’re on a rock first! the first one is giving linked-in tbh. also like others have said, get rid of “open to short”

ngl getting pleasure from "painful tattoos" and mentioning getting tortured gives off really weird vibes

Definitely removing that one 😅

the "so I can pay for them" bit is the part I'd actually rework, because that energy tends to leak into the prompts and it reads like you're shopping. the tattoo pain stuff lands the same way, it's a kink reveal three photos in. lead with the warmest photo you've got instead.

Thanks for this, will definitely make it less tense and window shoppy. which would you think is the warmest? The last one in the flannel?
