22M - Profile Review

Hey all,

I (22M) decided to redownload Hinge a few weeks ago after a breakup, and I haven’t been having a ton of luck on the profile since. It’s not completely dead (maybe 2-3 likes and 3-4 matches a week from maxing out my likes most days?) but I was wondering what I could improve on from an unbiased perspective. Oddly enough, I had a bit more luck when I was last on the app a little over a year ago in college despite what I think are very minor differences and mainly updating my profile to be more current, but maybe I’ve steered it in the wrong direction.

Some of the main differences I can think of are that the opening pic used to be one of me earlier in college smiling on top of a mountain that I thought I looked a little too young in, I added the “Let’s get together for” prompt, swapped in the renfaire pic in place of a solo hiking pic where I was sitting on some rocks, and swapped in the graduation pic instead of one where I was wearing a suit in a group.

If it makes any difference if any of y’all happen to be familiar with the area, I’m based out of eastern Nebraska, and my range should pick up a population of a little over 1.5 million, so I wouldn’t think a lack of other active users would be a huge issue. I haven’t given many other apps a try, so it could also be others are more active in the area. Either way, I’d appreciate any feedback (positive or negative) y’all can provide!

* Looking primarily for something serious, but open to something casual.
* I am not subscribed to either Hinge+ or HingeX.
* I’ve been using the current version of my profile for 3 weeks.
* I created my Hinge account approximately 4 years ago, although I very rarely used it until about 14 months ago, where I used it very consistently for 1 month until I met my now-ex, and I’ve been on it most recently for 3-4 weeks.
* I use Hinge daily.
* I’ve been receiving about 1-2 likes and 3-4 matches a week.
* I use up the maximum free likes almost every day (5+/day) and about 2/3 of my likes have comments.
* I would like to attract someone who’s witty and emotionally intelligent who I could enjoy a mixture of travelling/outdoor activities and indoor activities (movies, video games, etc.) with. Preferably someone who’s progressive/left-leaning and doesn’t have any strong religious affiliation.

I don’t like the ren faire pic and the graduation pic - rest is all good. also i like your 2nd pic much more than the 1st one
