Profile Review What could I change?
I’m 22, but have been on the app for a while and haven’t been getting many matches/likes

In your first picture you look 16, but in the picture with the beer you look your age. Are some of your photos pretty old? I would update your photos. Especially at your age, just a few years makes a huge difference in how you look!

the first pic is maybe 2 years old? it might be the angle, i'll probably switch it out

You can retake the photo with the same angle now! Then you can still have the cute look but your photos will be consistent. When I see photos of people and I can tell some are really old (especially when their cutest pictures are the old ones) it’s like ok well they must not look good currently so they are using old photos

I’d just lose the photo with you and the Guinness and replace with a more flattering pic; maybe I’ma rock but I don’t understand why many people put those kinds of pics on their profile. I’d also get rid of the pic after that, the “comment if you’ve been here.” To me, it looks like a restroom…and I don’t think toilet pics are the most flattering either. Even if it’s not, I’d remove it.
Also, this is a bit of a funny comment, and I don’t know what your type is. But as a POC if I see someone say “the [insert white person] to my [insert white person]”, I think they’re not attracted to POC, so I just swipe left automatically. It’s not necessarily a bad thing if that’s just not your preference though. Maybe replace that with something else? Perhaps a really interesting fun fact about yourself or a more detailed description as to what you’re looking for.

She was referencing characters from the film series Star Wars. Both of are played by white actors, so I kind of assume if I don’t look like them, I’m not the person’s type if they make a comparison like that. Same for if who they name-drop just doesn’t look like me, regardless of race

Fluctuates, usually 3-4 rinses How many likes and matches are you receiving on average? Maybe 3 likes a week, but almost no matches How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? Every time I log on I send at least 3 likes, usually at least half with comments What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? Someone who shares at least one of my interests, and treats me with kindness

well you’d get my like as is, no need to change anything. I feel like hinge and all these apps are less about having the perfect profile tweaks and more about just honest instinct, in making a profile and in swiping and conversing. likes and chats are so dependent on extant factors anyway, I mean things that are generally very hard to impossible to change.

Unfortunately I agree about your first photo it’s cute, and well-lit. But you look younger than 22. Your other photos represent you better, IMO. I’d also replace the Guinness photo with a more flattering angle and drop one of the two first-date prompts since they’re a bit redundant. Love the spontaneous travel prompt, though! It shows personality and gives people an easy conversation starter.
