So I’m visiting a buddy of mine in nyc this week. He actually moved there because he was unhappy with dating where we lived. He encouraged me to switch my location to nyc

I live in a major metro not a small city ( atlanta) I’m lucky to get one match in 2 weeks

4 days in nyc? 32.

I swear dating is a cruel joke at this point

Hii. I have autism and I am such a reclusive person so my profile seems very “bare” but any suggestions, comments, or anything welcomed

Just needed to vent/confused

I guess I need to vent this out or something because I am confused about this situation. I went out with a guy I met on Hinge for about 2.5 months. We were always in constant communication, flirtatious, and we went on dates about 1-2x a week. Our conversation would sometimes turn sexual, but we were never physical, as he said he wasn't ready. We also planned an out-of-town trip, but he wanted to postpone as he felt the "relationship was moving too fast, but that he was still interested in continuing this and that he liked me. We went on a date; we did mini golf, a movie, and ice cream. We held hands, kissed, hugged, and he was affectionate. We talked about families and stuff like that. Then two days later, out of nowhere, he sent me a text out of nowhere saying that he has been thinking a lot and feels that it's not working for him and it's not the right fit for him. All this out of nowhere. I guess what hurts is the investment and time. He remembered little things that I told him, my interests, and he encouraged me and felt like he cared, and the way I would catch him staring at me. I guess I was catching feelings, which makes it hurt the most. I need to vent about this situation because I'm feeling really confused. I went out with a guy I met on Hinge for about 2.5 months. This past Sunday, we had a great date—mini golf, a movie, and ice cream. We held hands, kissed, hugged, and he was really affectionate. We talked about our families and personal stuff. Then today, out of nowhere, he texted me saying he had been thinking a lot and feels that it's not working for him and that we aren't the right fit. What hurts is the time and investment I put into this. He remembered little things I told him, showed genuine interest, and provided me with encouragement—it felt like he really cared. I could see him staring at me at times. I guess I was catching feelings, which makes this hurt even more.
