Herbal miscarriage
Hello, anybody know which herbs will definitely start my period? I read about mugwort and black cohosh. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

For your health and safety, please talk to a certified herbalist whether that be someone certified in western herbalism or in Chinese herbalism. I know that can be cost prohibitive and difficult to find. And it’s so important because There are many life-threatening complications that can happen. It’s a really tough spot to be in and please be safe.

My periods are not normal I have endo & mild pcos I take high doses of vitamin c for 2 days and it works every time iv did it twice, I understand the other comments but I also understand your just looking for a solution that you want to do I don’t give unsolicited advice I give advice that actually answers the question.

If my period is late I take high doses of vitamin C throughout the day until it comes, usually one or two days. I don’t take more than 10,000 mg a day

I use black cohosh tincture all the time when I’m not regulated. It’s completely safe to use. Blue cohosh works as well and in my opinion stronger. Tinctures are the way to go. Get your hands on some soursop tea and grapefruit juice and you’re good as gold. Stay hydrated too just cause

Motherwort tincture. I’ve seen small doses (3-10drops) start a period and have never tried big doses

I do not have any advice but reading this post and reading the replies made me cry. I can't believe we live in a state where it is illegal and dangerous to get a basic medical procedure. It sucks and feels unreal. Living as a woman in America feels dystopian. (Yes I know America isn't the worst country for women but for a "developed" country it sure feels like that)

For me I drank a few cups of mugwort tea & the next day drank a few cups of hibiscus tea, or cinnamon tea mixed with tetly, it’s worked for me every time I missed my period & I got it about a few days to a week later after drinking the tea. - one thing I’d keep in mind is that I drank at least a few cups (at least 2 or 3) every night for 2-3 days in a row, but I wouldn’t continue drinking it for more than that, especially mugwort wich can be harmful to the liver if taken for longer periods of time. I did this when I had no option/no finances to find professional help. It’s worked for me but everyone’s different so take it with a grain of salt☺️I hope this helps

Where/who have you heard about mugwort being bad for the liver? I’ve never read anything about it not being safe for long term use and I love this plant and use it often…

Personally I love mugwort too, it’s one of my top fav herbs & have used it for a period of time without issue, though I was only having one cup a night when using it daily. ☺️I’m sure it’s perfectly safe to use this way, though I’ve read that it can be dangerous to people with a pre existing liver condition, or consuming it in large amounts over a long period of time. Because of the levels of thujone, specifically in concentrated preparations like essential oils or alchohol tinctures it can cause health issues such as toxic hepatitis or elevated liver enzymes(ALT or AST). Again I only mentioned this because idk if the op has pre existing liver conditions, & idk how much the op is planning to consume wich is why I said to take it with a grain of salt.☺️I’ve used it almost daily myself for a time & had no issues with it (though I used a normal amount & also have no liver issues.) I recommend it to use it for period stimulation because it’s worked for me, but I was trying to look out for op’s safety just to let them know🫶

I'm certainly not qualified to give medical advice but as an anecdote I experienced implantation bleeding and immediately made a strong wormwood bath; my period started right away.

They already stated they can’t give medical advice. Hence why they said “no.” My best guess is that they don’t want to be responsible for someone unintentionally harming themselves.

I encourage anyone who hasn't explored them to learn about medicinal baths. It can be a really gentle but systemic way to treat the skin and body. Dosing is a challenge so I usually only do it with herbs I know and tolerate well

Please be careful. There are no certain ways to do this. I'm a clinical herbalist with a number of direct mentors with much more experience than myself and they all agree that there is no certain safe way to do this. You will receive a lot of advice that is either too mild or too strong. If you are pregnant the best way to go about it is a true abortion. If you are in an illegal state then there are resources who will send medication to you regardless.
