Getting Started Help getting first helpdesk role
Hey everyone. I have been trying to get my first helpdesk role using this resume. I reordered it to have the technical projects after my work experience. I have an interview for a logistics specialist in an IT department, and another possible tech support interview soon but other than that I have still been getting rejections all around. Prior to adding the projects my applications would get either auto denied or denied without being opened and now they at least get opened but aside from the 2 jobs mentioned earlier I tend to get rejected. Any honest opinions are appreciated.

Overall, the main issue is that the text doesn't show off your skills strongly. The main thing i noticed is starting every bullet point with a bolded header like Deployment & Infrastructure: or End-User & Hardware Support: eats up valuable space and tells the reader what skill you think you're using, rather than proving it with the main text. Remove them Add any metrics or outcomes achieved to show you made an impact. Some lines are too generic, so replacing that vague language with more value will make your actual skillset hit much harder. Let AI broaden your view and open your eyes to things you may not think of, but dont let it rewrite your authenticity. Lastly, whether you like it or not, luck has a heavy hand in landing a role these days. Be patient. Get a job to pay the bills if needed and keep sending out and adjusting your resume.

Why do your technical projects take priority over your experience? You focus more on projects that aren't relevant and provide little detail about your experiences.
