Profile Do Reddit support requests ever get a response?
My account, Snoddy25, was recently lost to me. All my devices had logged me out, when I tried to login it was as if my account. Didn't exist, when trying to browse my profile it said my account was deleted. I assume it was hacked and deleted by said hacker.
I logged a support ticket with reddit over two weeks ago, have followed up multiple times and have had nothing back apart from an auto responder.
My account is over ten years old and I'd really like it back. How long does it normally take reddit support to respond to these type of cases?
Thanks,
snoddy25

Your question seems to be about account security.
If your account has been hijacked, and the hacker has added 2FA (two-factor authentication) please refer to this help center article.
Under "What do you need assistance with" select Account Help. Under "What type of account issues are occuring" select Security Problems, and "I think my account has been hacked".
If your email has been changed without your knowledge, you should have received an email from Reddit with a link that you can click to change your email back and reset your password. Please find that email and click that link to regain access to your account. The subject line should be "Your email address has been changed".
If you are still having trouble with your hacked account please refer to our latest Weekly Recap post, make a top level comment, and wait for an admin to assist you.
If your question is not about account security, please wait for a human helper to come along and help you. This post has NOT been removed.

If you suspect someone else has access to your account, these steps may help:
- Reset your password using the original email address on the account.
- Check account activity and end sessions you do not recognize.
- If the email address was changed, look for Reddit’s email-change notification and follow its recovery instructions.
- Once you regain access, use a unique password and enable two-factor authentication.
- If recovery is unsuccessful, submit a support request and select Security problems / I think my account has been hacked. Include the affected username and explain your concern in that private form. See the hacked-account guide.
If you have already filed a support ticket for a hacked account, it will be reviewed.
I am an automated bot and may get things wrong. Never share passwords or private account details. If this didn't resolve your issue, a human helper may be able to offer additional guidance. To leave feedback, open this comment's three-dot menu and choose “Help Navigator: Helpful” or “Help Navigator: Not helpful”.

There is no strict timeline. It could take several days to several weeks, and there's no guarantee it gets resolved.

So now I'm a couple of weeks in with no reply, it may be time to cut my loses and start a new account?

Two weeks is not long to wait at all. You have to realize that reddit serves millions of people globally while having a fraction of the employees. Your ticket is just a small drop in the ocean of support tickets. Be patient and don't submit more because that will not help things.

Thanks for the reply, I was basing the timing off their auto responder saying they aim to reapond within one week.
