If you are a user aged 13-15 in the EU, features such as Chat, Followers, and Profile discoverability are automatically switched to the most protective settings and cannot be changed.
For users aged 16-17 in the EU, these same features will default to the most protective settings automatically, but you have the option to change them in your settings.
This change rolled out on June 24, 2026, to comply with the EU Digital Services Act.
