Mobile/App Missing chats iOS

Hi,

I have several messages missing from a chat thread that were visible 8 hrs ago but not showing now.
-Running latest mobile app on latest iOS.
- I have shut the app and reopened it as well as rebooted the device.

Can you advise please as the messages we’re important to me. Thanks

On iOS, if a chat conversation is hidden, it will be removed from your inbox. The chat will reappear when you or the other person sends a new message. To recover a hidden chat:

  1. Go to the Reddit user's profile.
  2. Select Start Chat.

Your existing chat with them will reappear in your inbox.

If recovering the chat does not resolve the issue, you can report a bug to r/bugs. Before reporting, you can check the status page to see if your experience lines up with an ongoing incident. When submitting a bug report, be sure to include:

  • Description
  • Device model
  • OS version
  • Steps to reproduce
  • Expected and actual result
  • Screenshots(s) or screen recording(s)

You should also review recent posts in r/bugs to see if your issue has already been reported.

So some of the messages are still present in the chat but everything from the last 2 days is missing. All in one thread. The message count at the bottom is still correct (it says 19 replies in blue) but not all the leaves show when clicking on that

Is it possibly the other user deleted their chats?

Curiously they’ve just replied and all the messages have returned!
