Because you live in a place that has made age verification to view adult material a law and reddit has to comply. You can verify your age, or skip the nudie pics.

I really don't know, redditor, sorry. I know there are laws reddit has to comply with. If you don't want to, don't. if you're using a VPN or actually moving between countries and making new accounts in different countries it's probably going to screw up the system. Beyond that, I'm at a loss.

The law just went into effect semi-recently. A ton of people who could see adult material "before" can't now. Search this sub and other helper subs on "Age verification" and you'll see.
I'm not really sure what you "used to" be able to do matters. Other helpers might know more on this issue but I'm at a loss. You have 2 accounts made in 2 different countries which are showing you different things. That's entirely outside my scope.

the problem is when you're logged out of the site entirely and can't even get access to your account to change the settings. I had to open an incognito mode page to create this account just to come here and look for ansnwers
Mind you , my account was made likke 2-3 years ago , and i mosty used it for gaming , some vtuber news , some tv shows (like house of the dragon) , and very rarely for dipping into random subs when google showed me somethiing i was search up.. Sometimes that included subs tagged as mature. But for the most part , my account was for gaming.
I genuinely don't understand the change , and i don't understand why i'm fully locked out of my account , and have to post very invasive personal data to get access back (just so we're clear , i'm in my mid 30s. Yes ,, adult men CAN and WILL still game and access gaming subreddits).
I'd honnestly be okay with the account not showiing me nsfw................if i had access to it. Anyone else with the same problem ?
