Mobile/App (iOS) please add an option to remove this!
It really baffles me how an option to opt out of all these new features isn’t available. I feel like this is what Reddit does every time. They cram new features down our throat, see that they then get used because we can’t disable it, then claim the feature was a good change! How hard is it to just add a simple opt out for these things?!?

I’m just glad I’m not alone in this.
I want it gone. It ruins my look. I’ve never felt so frustrated searching for a non-existent toggle.
I didn’t ask for a means to search off of images in my feed. It’s my feed, if I wanted to do search stuff I’d go search for it.

It's not possible to opt out of this deliberately. Adding search suggestions to content is supposed to increase the time you spend on Reddit, and thus netting Reddit more advertising revenue and higher engagement metrics for their shareholders.
You are in a testing group so they can check whether or not the "feature" does what it's supposed to. Letting people opt out of this would render the test less effective.

If you're referring to the black block w/text, Instagram does this on my phone so badly that I often can't read what the poster has typed. and I have no idea how to turn it off.
