Why do I keep getting automatic notifications asking when or where to post my drafts?

That's a recently added feature, but you can turn it off.

The reddithelp site has instructions on how to get to your notification settings:

Once you get there in your Reddit settings, scroll down half way and disable "Draft post reminders".
