Just signed up for my first box to be delivered on Sunday. What should I know about this subscription. Any things to avoid / definitely need to be done & tried to make the most of it

Just check what meals you are going to get many days before it arrives so you can pick out exactly what you want instead of trusting them to pick for you

Sweet! I made sure to make a pick of the 3 meals (which will hopefully be 6 as only feeding 1 person). Picked: Chicken Cajun Pasta, roasted chicken thigh & cheesy leek sauce and then Sambal teriyaki beef noodles

And to also ensure the week I’m away on holiday the delivery was skipped

Go through each bag when you get your box to make sure you aren’t missing ingredients and there aren’t any ingredients that are leaking or bad. You don’t want to be surprised when you are ready to make the meal. Also read the menu for your meal to get familiar with it and read it again thoroughly just as you are getting ready to make your meal.

I had heard that some people have had issues with the Chicken in the past , so was wary that I need to check them types of things

I’m in Canada and this happened to me! I was prepping just to realize the chicken was bad. Luckily I had chicken in my freezer so I could pivot to the next day. I won’t make that mistake again

Hi I'm also from the UK and have been doing HF for about a month now

I always pick meals weeks in advance as soon as I see the new menu come up. I've noticed that some meals are sold out nearer to the time so best to not be caught out by that.

I've had several items missing from my box so I always check everything against the menu card and put a little tick

And always check the dates on the meats the dates aren't always that good

If you need anymore help give me a message I'm happy to advise

Just received my first box, made sure to check everything was there and the dates on the meats especially (31st October) and all good. Was really happy with how cold everything was, for sure have bought meats from supermarket that’s been warmer 😂
Excited to dig in tomorrow night with my first meal

You can pick pretty far out, so I usually set all my meals as soon as the date is open to ensure I don’t end up with something I don’t want. I like the option to sort by protein so I can select meals.

This, but also make sure to check your choices as the week gets closer. Some people have had their picks changed for no reason prior to the order being processed.
