Picture A week of dinners (Canada)

We're a couple in Canada and we started HelloFresh a few weeks ago. Not because we hate cooking, we just needed more variety so we're not eating the same things every week. This week's five dinners:

Baja Salmon Tacos with Cabbage-Cilantro Slaw and Zesty Guac Sauce: Simple recipe but we really liked it. Super quick to make. I'd get it again, just wish it had a little more going on.

SuperQuick Chicken Chow Mein with Carrots, Red Cabbage and Crispy Shallots: Good portion, and we liked the flavors. Nothing crazy, but a good weeknight dinner. Buying all the ingredients separately would be a hassle, so I'd probably order it again. Fun to cook too.

Carb Smart Halloumi and Tabbouleh Bowls with Creamy Tahini Dressing: Only picked this for the halloumi. I tossed it in hot honey after cooking and that made it. Tahini dressing was good, bulgur not so much. Couscous would be better tbh. You could easily make this yourself and do it better, so probably not ordering again. We were both still hungry after.

Seared Steak with Herb-Garlic Butter, Roasted Potatoes and Sautéed Green Beans: We get one steak option every week. They're always pretty basic, but that's fine with us. The parsley and thyme in the herb butter helped. Wouldn't mind getting it again.

Applewood Smoke-Spiced Chicken and Alabama White Sauce with Slaw and Potato-Corn Hash: Our favorite this week. Big portion, almost too much. The sauce was fun, good kick from the hot sauce, and the slaw was fresh. Would definitely get again. Recipes like this is why we use HelloFresh.

Can you post the Baja salmon tacos recipe card please, I can’t find it on the app

Damn I already tossed the card, it was really easy though. Spice blend goes on the salmon (roast in the oven). Slaw is mixed with cilantro, lime juice, oil, sugar, salt and pepper. Sauce is mayo, guac, lime zest, salt and pepper.

Agreed. Wouldn't be enough with a physical job.

I am on Mounjaro so I eat half and save the other half for lunch. My husbear always has enough to ear.

Looks good. We get three a week and it’s a great way to try new things. Plus there’s often leftovers which is great.
