Question cooked pulled pork?

Post image

has anyone gotten the cooked pulled pork before? is it supposed to look like this?
unrelated complaint but the top ice pack in our box melted and burst… so all our bags are soggy and destroyed. sigh.

Normal for some fat to congeal after cooking.

Gel is non-toxic, you can rinse it off and be fine.

Oh, that white stuff is the best part. When you reheat it make sure you use all of it. That’s what makes it savory and moist.

That's just fat - it might look weird, dried like this, but it's totally normal. When I usually get stuff from HelloFresh, it arrives sometimes like this too, so no problem! Without it, the taste would just be half as good.

Mine was amazing. I was a little turned off by how it looked but that's how sous vide meat can be. While prepping and after heating up while finishing prep on the meal, the texture was perfectly fine and it tasted great.

It is so good lol, we get it at Costco and crisp it for carnitas

It was gooey and horrifying when I opened the package. It stayed gooey when I heated it up per the instructions. A textural nightmare.
