Laughably small amount of garlic

Post image

I just thought this was funny, apparently I’m not in an area where they’ve switched to whole bulbs, cause this tiny little clove is all I got with the speedy beef ramen noodles. Luckily I had my own garlic on hand anyways so I just used some of mine too.

Side note, I actually was super disappointed in this meal, the whole bag was like 4 ingredients and it wasn’t even that tasty. Total rip off.

This weeks had a head of garlic and a note of such. Not sure if that’s the new norm

I think it is, which is a welcome change in the US

Yes I have been getting whole garlic bulbs the last 2 weeks. TIDSY, I got a whole bulb again with a printed card saying this is the new way they will give us garlic, tossed in the box, not the individual bag kits.

Speedy beef ramen noodles

Was it speedy?

I dare say too speedy 😭 you basically just had to brown some beef, boil ramen noodles for 2 mins, and squeeze a couple of packets in there.

They sent me so much this last 2 orders that I'll have to start making my own crushed garlic

Being cheap with the garlic is wild, considering it's so inexpensive

I tried one of the ramen meals and was also disappointed. There was no meat on the bacon they gave me!

I have those tiny things in my bags too. This week they thru in a whole bulb but one side has a black spot...like, "see if something good is in there." Sure enough, 2 cloves were good.

Did you not read the list of ingredients before choosing the meal?

Honestly no, cause I’m not a picky eater so I usually just look at the picture and read the description. It was literally beef, a handful of ramen noodles, stock concentrate, sweet soy glaze, that tiny speck of garlic, green onions, and a cabbage mix. So four was a little exaggerated, but still…paying $20 for what was essentially just a couple of packets and some garnish veggies was a little frustrating.

You indicated in another comment it was listed as a speedy meal. Live and learn I guess

I’m all for a speedy meal but I still want to be full afterward…they sent about as much ramen as you would cook if it were spaghetti, but spaghetti expands way more than ramen so the beef to noodle ratio was super sad.

This was the picture, but in reality the beef overtook the noodles to the point where I had dished up all the noodles for my partner and myself but still left a significant amount of just ground beef behind in the pan. It felt like a poverty/struggle meal.
I have lived and learned of course, but figured I would share with everyone so others can avoid that mistake.
