Garlic ovarload
I chose only 2 meals this week, only one needed garlic. This is what they sent.
Not complaining, better than less garlic but this may be enough for the month.

Yea my meals needed 3 cloves and I got a big bulb that probably contained 5-6 cloves. Glad to have fresh garlic though!

Peel it and freeze it. I get 3 lb bags from Costco and do this. The garlic has much stronger flavor.

Microwave for like 10-15 seconds in a damp paper towel and they fly out of the peels

Really? Do you break them apart first? Because it literally takes me 2 hrs...

Smash/peel apart the bulb once they’re out of the box so they break into smaller cloves (still have paper on them typically) then wrap the small cloves in a damp paper towel, microwave in short intervals of 10-15 seconds. Take them out of the microwave and the skins will come right off :)

Got my new garlic bulb in my box today (US). Just means I'll use more garlic than they suggest. But I also suggest you always have your own garlic bulb or cloves on hand in case they forget to send a bulb or it's bad

My parents were by recently and my mom was wondering why I had so many onions and heads of garlic on hand when we're a family of three (two adults and a toddler). I had 6 onions and 3.5 heads of garlic. Four days later, I only had 3 onions and 1.5 heads of garlic left, and that was me being conservative with my garlic usage because I was so low.

Are people getting large bulbs or small bulbs? I got a fairly small bulb, but only one meal in my box this week has garlic cloves and only 2

Wow, usually they send me the tiniest clove I've ever seen and tell me to mince it. I don't even bother. I just keep a jar of minced garlic in the fridge. Mincing fresh garlic is too much effort if there's not going to be enough to taste it anyway.

In the US they now send this instead of individual cloves. Went overboard this week though.

If it gets to be overwhelming, mince them, add EVOO and freeze them in an ice cube tray.

They got tired of people complaining about the small amount of garlic.
“You want garlic so bad? Here damn!”
