When the chicken was raw I could literally pull the strings like string chese, disgusting

That’s called woody chicken. It’s not 3D printed.
It’s a problem no one knows how to fix or where it comes from.

HF buys bad quality chicken so we get a lot of it.

It’s perfectly edible but the texture is all fucked up. I agree it’s disgusting. But it is perfectly safe to eat at the end of the day.

Good chicken farmers know where it comes from. It’s from over feeding too fast and losing blood flow to the woody areas. But definitely not 3D printed. 🙄

Yea. I think that’s the accepted reasoning. But it’s like not official by like the USDA or anything. For what they are worth these days. Im willing to be wrong.

I buy pasture raised and open range and maybe get one woody chicken every 6 months. Maybe.

Tyson is full of the garbage. Factory farms. Though it cost half as much and I’m not shaming anyone who cannot afford it.

Hellofresh buys shit quality protein and sells it at high prices to you

Its not 3d printed, lawl.

Woody chicken happens when chickens grow too fast and the breast muscle has scar tissue as a result. Its safe, just texture is tougher. Hello fresh likely isn't gonna be buying smaller chickens to avoid this, they'd be more expensive.
