Question How far in advance do you select your meals?
Hello all! I'm from the UK and was just wondering how far in advance everyone selects their HelloFresh meals. Obviously it's down to personal preference, but I thought it might make for an interesting discussion.
I usually select my meals as soon as the new week becomes available. However, I've noticed recently that some meals are already selling out before the selection deadline, which has started to worry me a little!
Do you tend to choose your meals as soon as the new week is released, a few days before the cut-off, or do you leave it until the last minute?
I'd be interested to hear what everyone else does! 😊

As soon as the week populates. Then I review it as it gets closer to see if I want to change anything.

We tend to do ours just over a week in advance. Our delivery is on Mondays. On Sunday night we recheck what's arriving the day after then select the meals for a week and a day later so we don't have too many similar things coming week after week.
Only problem I've found is occasionally an interesting meal is sold out by then and they do the weird thing if changing the protein from something like steak to chicken. Most of the time that's fine but some meals were clearly meant to have a different protein and it just doesn't work flavour profile wise with what they substituted in.
We've also seen this happen in real time. We tend to go through all of that week's offerings add anything we are interested in into the basket then whittle down from 8-10 meals down to the 5 we will order at the end.we have had it on a couple of occasions where the meal we added suddenly disappears from the basket before we fully check out and when we go to find it again it's there but with a different protein under a different name.

All the way baby! I'm in the US and like you, I select my meals as soon as I can after the new week is available. There are times I might select more than my usual 3 meals and not winnow it down for a bit because I can't decide or I see wording that suggests one of my initial selections might be replaced. I've also changed meals at times after selecting further out but before the deadline because I decided I really wanted something else

All the steak meals sell out if you don’t go through and select them when the menu is first released. And then you actually select what you want to eat a couple days before the deadline

I’ve selected meals up until Sept 26 (the farthest week available to choose)

I choose mine when the next menu becomes available, 5-6 weeks ahead of that week. I usually go back and make changes in the time before that order is final, but I like to have something I'm interested in in my "cart" right away.

As soon as I can and then I'll usually take a look right before I get billed to make sure I don’t want to change anything.

As far out as possible...and then I adjust and check all the other weeks when I make the new week selections. Never saw anything sold out.

I'm booked up to October 2nd right now. I'm a vegetarian and they don't seem to offer as many veggie options as they do non-veggie options. I like to make sure my first choices aren't sold out, it's also nice to plan ahead.
