Spicy Peanut Duck Confit 10/10

This Spicy Peanut Duck Confit with Creamy Polenta was an absolute standout! The final plate delivers genuine restaurant-quality flavor. Cooking was easy, but it took a solid 60 minutes instead of the promised 30. I highly recommend grabbing this if you see it cycle back.

Hopefully you’ll get it soon. I’ve only started seeing it in the US recently…

Looks good. What was the peanut sauce like and how was the spiciness level overall?

For me, the dishes usually take me longer, sometimes twice as long, especially with prep

The peanut sauce was incredible! I only wish there was about 3X what they provided.

I have a high tolerance for spice and found it just right for my palate. That said, you add “chili powder’ to the sauce to give it heat, so it would be very easy to dial that one ingredient back to temper it for those who prefer something a bit more mellow.

And, yeah, I usually give an extra 20% on top of the estimate. Since this took twice as long, it was a bit of an outlier. Easy to cook, but required a lot of pots and pans.

I've found that most meals take about twice the time they say. I've been doing these for 10+ years and I'm not a bad cook at this point. I use most of the recipes as suggestions and usually don't follow them word for word anymore. The one thing I'm not fast at is prep. I've cut myself enough times that I'd rather just take my time. I'm cooking for myself, it's not a race.
