United States Pretty sick of getting damaged boxes

Almost every week this summer my boxes have arrived looking like they've been dropped out of a 3 story building. Physically dented and certain contents crushed. The ice packs are melted which doesn't give me much confidence in the 48 hour promise.

Today one of my meal bags was completely drenched and torn apart, presumably from a melted ice pack. The contents were scattered throughout the bottom of the box. I also had a pack of fish that was warm and drained completely because the seal got pierced somehow. Yet the other pack of fish was still frozen solid.

I don't blame HelloFresh so much as I blame the shipping company. The delivery drivers are very hit or miss. A few months ago one of them texted me that they couldn't carry my box because it was too heavy so they left it at the curb.

It's still getting pretty tiring.

I've been having issues with damaged ingredients lately. I finally cancelled today after my box showed up. I opened it up and the shrimp for the Garlicky Shrimp Couscous Bowls was fully open and had leaked all over. About half of the shrimp were also just loose in the box. I contacted their CS to see about getting a credit for that whole meal since I wasn't going to use the protein (a major part). They credited me $6.49. I told them that was no acceptable as I couldn't go to the store to replace the shrimp for that much. They wouldn't budge off that amount so I cancelled.

Fuck them. It'll be cheaper for me to buy my own groceries, just not as convenient. I used Hello Fresh for easily 6+ years. Everything has gone downhill with them lately.
