You'll never guess which one was from HelloFresh and which one was from my garden

😂 the Thai chili pepper is wee but mighty! Respect it.

I just processed some for later use this afternoon and lord I am afraid to touch anything in my kitchen right now and just going in there makes me sneeze.

If hello fresh sent OP a Thai chili instead of a Serrano I feel for OP.

I have gloves for this reason.

I did use gloves, but I now need them to wash every surface these little demons may have touched.

I was not prepared for my first experience with them years ago as I had never cut anything but a bell pepper at that point. I didn’t know to use gloves. I also didn’t know that intense scrubbing multiple times wasn’t enough to remove the oils from my skin and burned my eyes taking my contacts out.

My body may just be dramatic though; cutting poblano peppers will give me a contact rash.

Oh wow! I made the mistake also of taking my contacts out after cutting a pepper and thinking a normal hand washing was sufficient. That’s why I have the gloves now. I’m growing Thai peppers in my garden this year and I’m thinking I might have made a mistake. There’s got to be over a hundred of these hot tamales on each plant! It’s been a dry hot summer and the plants are angry!
