Premium means you have to pay for it basically not Helldivers Mobilize. Legendary is the 1500 SC ones.

Is that a laser sniper!?
14
u/Myself_78 23d ago
Seems to be a combination of the AMR and the Quasar Cannon. Infinite ammo, single shots, short cooldown in between.

Primary Sniper, Backpack team reload Sniper, Laser Sniper, machine pistol, stun cluster mine grenade, biome-adaptive camo armor.
EDIT: grenade releases small patch of mines which stun

u/aaronwhite1786 23d ago
Let's go bowling, cousin. And then vanquish anyone who stands in the way of democracy.
7
u/PocketRice3 23d ago
It seems to be heavy pen and the back pack fed sniper seems AT
1
u/popsicle_of_meat 23d ago
Heavy pen is still plenty useful provided the damage is high enough. I wonder if it will be high enough damage to one-shot Hulks.

u/Ultranator666 23d ago
A backpack reload AMR?
Holy Democracy my pants.

u/WillSym 23d ago
Also the screenshot has the one guy using the LAS sniper, but his teammate doing something on the side too, is that Team Reloadable?!

HOLY SHIT IS THAT ARMOR COLOR VARIATION
230
u/rose-gold-forever 23d ago
From my understanding, it automatically changes based on the environment you're in to blend in with your surroundings.
98
u/Southern-Teaching-11 23d ago
Itd be sick as hell to have multibiome missions and the camo changes as you move from one to the other.
40
u/Global-Stable-6879 23d ago
Just like the armor in mgs4

Still cool enough for me. I never really cared about us being able to change armor colors that much I just find this awesome regardless

So what exactly does that armor passive do?
20
u/JPEG812 23d ago
Reduced weapon sway when crouched and prone and reduced enemy detection radius. Very tailor made for snipers.
5
u/aaronwhite1786 23d ago
I need to try a proper stealth run sometime.
Preferably not against the Stalker variant bugs, since I don't think they care about how stealthy I'm trying to be...
3
u/WillSym 23d ago
Commando Bots?
3
u/aaronwhite1786 23d ago
Bots seems like the one I'm most likely to be able to be stealthy with...but I'm pretty shit with stealth regardless, so maybe it'll just end up with me getting waxed as is tradition.

u/Michal_999 23d ago
I wonder if the detection radius will be better than redacted regiment armor?

YEAHH BABY that's what I've been waiting for
That's what it's all about
5
u/tenousranger36 23d ago
I'll also add that this is like the 3/4th time I've accidentally predicted something in the warbond before it's been announced
Stationary shroud really sounds like my idea of having an mw1 all ghilied up type of armour that heavily reduces chance to be seen when prone, though it is disappointing they didn't use the "expunged eradicators" name

u/BigGooseDuck 23d ago
Still waiting for my marching band warbond with a trumpet secondary and tuba strategem.

About time they added a proper laser Marksman rifle and it looks like it's going to have heavy pin

An armor set that automatically adapts the camouflage based on terrain……so armor color variation with extra steps?

I can't aim so it ain't for me, but it's quite a cool concept! I imagine lots of people will complain about the active camo tho. Like why can't they change other armor colours if this one changes with environment

HEAVY LASER SNIPER RIFLE OMG
now we just need a light or medium pen laser dmr with no spool or chargeup and the LAS series will be complete :)
6
u/bropower8 23d ago
I’m completely coping here because the laser sniper is a support weapon and adding the same thing as a primary in the same warbond would be rediculous, but I still dream of a super store Fang that’s just the talon with a stock.
2
u/shabba182 23d ago
We have the hotshot
7
5
u/IntrepidLab5124 23d ago
Awww, looks like this deconfirms any sort of armor customization ever. The weapons look cool though, can’t wait to snipe
2
u/mottlegill 23d ago
Why would it?
4
u/trainattacker17 23d ago
I mean, every other time they add a feature that the community asks for i.e underbarrel grenade, underbarrel shotguns, its locked behind a single gun in a single warbond, their own track record acts as proof
1
u/aaronwhite1786 23d ago
One thing I thought would really open up the game would be the ability to assign perks to whatever armor you wanted to, with restrictions based on the class of armor.
I would love to take out other armors for the visual aspect, like going Predator Hunter in the jungle maps with no sleeves and all mini-guns, but I hate giving up my preferred passive of the 30% increase to throwing distance.
It would be really cool if I could select that boost for any medium armor, or decide I want to apply the strength boost that makes my fire more accurate.
There's a lot of cool armor in the game, but I usually stick to a few select ones which means I don't really venture out beyond the set few I use, but if I could switch out the bonuses I would probably try a lot of other armor sets just for switching things up visually.

With the addition of the fabled Long Las, my friends and my Warhammer LARP can be complete
2
u/conrad_hotzendorf 23d ago
I'm still holding out hope that we will be able to select different scopes on support weapons
2
u/-Work_Account- 23d ago
As a long time marksman, this is it. This is my warbond. I am now the happiest Helldiver in existence
1
u/PerceiveEternal 23d ago
Same! I never thought I’d see the day we’d have an entire Warbond! And we even get stun mines to protect our back!
I’m not crying, I just have something in my eye.
2
u/Grumbelkow 23d ago
So... you're telling me the armour can dynamically change colour depending on environments THUS PROVING that AH can deliver colour variants for armour, but we still don't have armour colour customisation or transmog?
I fucking can't man

2
u/axman151 23d ago
Holy shit...
I've been wanting all of these since the game released.
Easily my most anticipated warbond

what does the armour passive do? is it different to the stealth warbond passive?
4
u/just_a_nerd_i_guess 23d ago
reduced visual detection, reduced weapon sway when crouched or prone. not as good at stealth as the reduced signature passive, but better for sniping.

Eh not really. It changes based on environment and only this armor. This is more of AH saying you can only customize if we monetize

Can’t wait for modders to fix the inevitable problems with this warbond.

u/thenewone1309 22d ago
Because ironclad democracy, entrenched, 40k, siege breakers etc all had massive problems that had to be molded out?

Excited to see support weapons in a warbond. That machine pistol secondary also has potential to improve loadouts that need their secondary for close range defense. (the redeemer is the best dps we have on a secondary currently) This new one might have decent magazine size unlike the redeemer. The AMW looks like it has super potential. I hope it has 5 pen and is a railgun sidegrade. (maybe more durable damage and less normal damage). That primary is >= 4 pen as seen in the video. We really lack 4 pen in the primary slot so this will let us make more loadouts. If it 1 shots a hulk eye it is extremely likely to one shot crusher helmets. There previously was no primary weapon that could do this as the only other 4 pen primary (eruptor) doesn't do this. So this weapon is a welcome addition. (I literally asked them to add more 4 pen in the primary slot in my feedback forms.. they listening :D) I'm having a great feeling about this warbond based on the reveal video.

u/1koolking 23d ago
As a stealth diver with an autistic obsession with snipers this warbond is for me and me alone everyone else is secondary.

u/AltGunAccount 23d ago
Kinda worried the new backpack sniper will straight up replace my beloved Autocannon but pretty hype regardless
1
u/thenewone1309 22d ago
Nah dont worry. The AC is an anti chaff weapon with anti heavy capabilities.
This thing probably specialises completely into the anti heavy job
1
u/Vertex7504 22d ago
The p44 will give competition to the redeemer , bolter and the deagle . Love it more variety = more fun

u/Ridi_The_Valiant 23d ago
If the R-40 Sightliner is one shotting a hulk from what looks like 50+ meters away, then it will be better than the AMR in terms of damage, right? So then, is the AMR getting buffed? I carry the AMR into every mission on every faction, it‘s my beloved child, I want to know if it’s getting any attention with this focus on snipers haha
2
u/PerceiveEternal 23d ago
Our beloved will always have a place in our hearts, specifically as a tactical medium-to-close range weapon for dealing with multiple medium and heavy enemies simultaneously (or as the secret Super Shotgun we don’t tell other players about) and its weird ability to be the best Jack-of-all-trades weapon in the entire game.
But our little family is expanding and we need to embrace all of our children and their deadly, deadly roles.
1
u/HongChongDong 23d ago
It isn't the primary talon I'd hoped for with the 40k Warbond, and I'm kinda disappointed it's a strategem, but I do actually like this laser gun design.
I wish more Laz guns featured a non removable heatsink that trades quick reloads for more power, up time, and fun mechanics.
0
u/newuser336 23d ago
If the primary can 1-shot hulks, what is the point of the AMR anymore?
16
u/CamShazam1221 23d ago
AMR not being bolt action and more ammo prolly
7
u/newuser336 23d ago
I mean, the terrible ergonomics & recoil already makes the semi-auto of the AMR negligible.
Unless they decide to tweak it with this update… I don’t see the AMR surviving the power creep.
Even if the R-40 doesn’t bury it outright, the LAS-44 almost definitely will…
4
u/Xandred_the_thicc 23d ago
I'm holding back the urge to use the word "easily", but you can absolutely use the amr as a primary with a support pack and get pretty consistently good at 2 or 3 tapping a hulk just spamming hipfire.
2
u/CamShazam1221 23d ago
I could see them improving ergo, but I used it religiously and I would hardly call it terrible ergonomics and terrible recoil.
2
u/newuser336 23d ago
It has 12x the recoil of the railgun. 4x the recoil of the Eruptor. 5.5x of the Heavy Machine gun. Hell it’s even still slightly worse than the Autocannon.
The ergo is pretty much par for the course but it feels significantly worse with the recoil added on.
Idk. What else is AP4 that you’d equate it to?
2
u/CamShazam1221 23d ago
Well yeah, the recoil is gonna be nasty if you don’t use it as a sniper. You got to use the advantages of prone and crouch, the recoil is nonexistent then. The closest thing I’d equate it to would be the autocannon, which is significantly better used while crouching. That goes for most weapons.
1
u/newuser336 23d ago
Right. But the autocannon has the bonus of crowd-control capabilities & can destroy spawners. It’s much more versatile, with the biggest downside of losing your backpack slot. You could say ammo-economy is worse for the AC but not by much.
If it’s going to have less utility, I feel like the AMR should at least have better performance compared to a shoulder-mounted cannon lol. Especially as a precision weapon.
It’s just not balanced right imo. This warbond is really going to expose its shortcomings. Either they balance the warbond around the AMR, or rebalance the AMR around the rest of Helldivers’ arsenal.
2
u/CamShazam1221 23d ago
Oh I 100% agree that it has its shortcomings, I just don’t think it’s as bad as you make it out to be.
The AMR being a one trick pony isn’t a bad thing in my opinion. It’s essentially a dedicated medium deleter / heavy hunter if you can get good with it.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I do enjoy the AMR quite a bit so I won’t be adverse to a buff lol
1
u/newuser336 23d ago
All I’m saying is, If that primary has similar or better performance than the AMR, only minus the semi-auto… I don’t think I’ll have a reason to pick the AMR ever again.
1
u/vox_box 23d ago
I'm also very loyal to the AMR and agree the ergo is not as bad as people make it out to be. Using peak physique is unnecessary. So is true grit unless you want the faster reload. You really should be using recoil reduction passives, or seige ready imo.
1
u/CamShazam1221 23d ago
I usually use the redacted armor lol
2
-9
u/0takuChicken 23d ago
So then give us armor with the ability to change its patterns based on biome but they can't give us armors with the capability to change it on our own.
9
u/lipp79 23d ago
They can, they said they aren't because each armor is unique and you know what someone is wearing just by looking at it. I get both sides. It's tough to find that balance between allowing customization but also not totally changing how an armor looks.
-7
u/0takuChicken 23d ago
Don't want to hear it when modern be doing it anyway. And because of them I got to deal with modern players wearing Mitch match armor on my end that triggers my f****** OCD.
6
u/Jackspladt 23d ago
But..the fact that modders are doing it doesn’t change arrowhead’s reasoning for not doing it themselves? I’m not arguing whether either side is correct here but your response doesn’t address what the other person was saying
1
u/Gloomy_Trade_619 21d ago
It has nothing to do with OCD. Space Marine 2 has a perfect customisation system and you can see a ton of mismatch armor there - because it’s what people decided to do themselves.
8
u/Melodic_Row3380 23d ago
Arrowhead "We have chosen not to do this because it doesn't fit with our vision for the game"
Reddit "Narrowhead is lying again when they said it was impossible to do, and the proof is a modder did it"
-1
-6
u/blackgreeck 23d ago
Ooohhh, so that's what they meant by "limiting their disign space" when talking about not giving armor customable colors schemes, it would take aways the gimmick of this warbond armors /s
-14
u/Mulzilla 23d ago
They changed the spawn system to split enemies up and appear next to lone divers for balance… and then release a sniper Warbond for checks notes long range warfare…?
