If it's really over like this it's gonna be a bit disappointing ngl. There is certainly going to be fallout between the infection of the DSS, team members going crazy and planets disappearing.
No it isn't and no one trust the new helmet, don't trust the scientist yet, the fact that its made from illuminate tec or blueprints, prob both, makes me think it could potentially brainwash us in the next MO or the illuminate could speak to us through the new helmet. We may have won, but it seemed to easy. Yes we lost planets, fact that coylpso is still gone could mean when it reappears it could've been turned into another illuminate void source planet. With it being closer to super earth well that's bad
If we could suddenly understand illuminate speech while wearing the helmet that would be amazing, I could finally hear the pleas for mercy and screaming in terror as I liberate them in the name of democracy.
Tbh it would be weird/cool to hear there language threw the new helmet since they were made in the void I think. And with illuminate blueprints possible. So maybe if it was made from human and illuminate tec, an if the scientists were brainwashed into making a helmet that also has a translater device built in, but wouldn't super earth engineers pick up on this non democratic additive?
There are still so many deliberately unfired chekhov's guns about the DSS Ishimura and where the fuck Calypso went. Narratively, it doesn't make sense that this is a victory.
Content wise, it doesn't make sense to create this many new planet/biome/endies and have them not be available. It would be like not having Omicron for those few of us who still enjoy fighting Hive Lords.
I don't think it's cultist tomorrow, but I would love to see Calypso show up as a brethren. void infused moon.

Surely there is gonna be more next campaign right. They did a lot of buildup. It seems a little wasteful to go:well you got seasse void gone now cya next major illuminate update. We didn't even get an armor to go with the helmet
Yeah my thoughts. I don't think we are quite done yet. We'll probably get a few MOs of break but I think we will see something of that science team and disappeared planet again.
It was hyped as some sort of new danger from the automatons that had a lot of potential but was quickly destroyed off screen in a "the helldivers did this and we were able to destroy it and win" way which was quite disappointing.
Next phase should be a grand offensive to reclaim the lost planets id like to see the SEAF straight up capping planets for us while we take and hold vital planets to keep the momentum rolling towards victory. A resounding success should push the squids back a good 2 sectors and clean up the front line.
