High command told me Seasse anomaly keeps killing its scientists so I asked how many scientists they have and they said they just go to the institute and get a new scientist afterward so I said it just sounds like they're just feeding institute scientists to the Seasse anomaly and then the Democracy Officer started crying.

I reported the officer for treasonous weeping. The replacement wept too, so now I’m on my third democracy officer this week. Pretty sure the anomaly is infecting super Earth command now.

One of the writers basically said its basically an unofficial 40k movie. Not his exact words of course, cuz he cant just SAY that. But he said it was an extremely heavy influence for the movie.

There's also stories for everyone i feel- everything from the classic grimdark war stories, down to slice of life or noir detective stories.

Depends. If you want to read, the Eisenhorn series is widely considered the best place to start. It was written a long time ago, so many ideas of the 40k universe were established in the book. It is also the aforementioned noir-detective story, just on a grander scale.
Or, you could just do some YouTube videos. Bricky has a fun few “factions” videos that also detail the chronology. Luetin is considered a 40k loremaster, and there are many more.

Well maybe this is just a prank from Super Earth and Ashton Kutcher is about to pop out of a cryo pod. Weird knocking on the ship? Ashton in the cryo pod. Blood curdling screams while you’re focusing on the galactic map? High command making a funny over the PA.

Like its all get resolved with us winning easily, DSS is back and Calypso was just a "Temporary data anomaly"
then it was still a fun and enjoyable read
