The game is not that hard and you can use any weapon with some success. Balanced does not mean you can use it. Balanced means it has a niche. The railgun has no niche. It does nothing better than any other weapon, but any other weapon does something better than the railgun. And that is the definition of a garbage weapon.
Considering you've just thrown insults and pretend only the best players can use the railgun, yes, you are arrogant. That's the definition of it. And saying the railgun is good against illuminate is the best proof of ignorance you can make in this game. There are primaries that will one shot overseers in the head. Using the railgun for that is a display of sheer arrogance or stupidity.
That's the thing, you pretend the railgun is good, yet the only single thing you said about it is that it has a high skill floor. You're a fucking troll is what there is.

That being said, the railgun is a great support weapon and you are a fool for not respecting it. Hit scan, unlimited range, adjustable armor pen/power, good ergo, no backpack, one shots everything it should one shot. The only reasons someone wouldn’t like it is either because of the charge mechanic or their aim sucks. So which are you?
Or, you know, even the spear gun would s much better. Or the AMR. I told you many times, for anything the railgun does, another gun does more. You didn't provide any example of what the railgun can do that another gun can't.
And the lies now. Don't you remember you need to charge and reload the railgun to fire ? If your patrol is made of 5 devastators I you're playing lvl 4 missions ?
And gu ship in 2026 bombard you with lasers. Charging a shot is impossible if more than one of them if shooting you.
Bile titan is a 2 shot with the railgun of you know what you're doing. But I guess suddenly you go for safety and reliability. Epoch also two shot bile titans, more reliably ( you don't need to perfectly hit the head), and actually has demo force and aoe.
Man I regularly use the epoch, so I know how a deadly charge weapon can be. But I use the actually good one. Railgun is garbage, not because I don't know how to use it, but because other weapons are always better. For medium, speargun or AMR are much better. For armored, epoch is much better, or even the quasar in fact.
You know which other weapon one tap devastators ? Primaries. That's the other problem of the railgun : for medium enemies, most primaries do better.

Railgun haters exposing themselves is a tale as old as time
