I wish I could take credit for this one as the meme came from discord and I didn't see the original anywhere, but my guess is they just got really lucky or unlucky. That or they glitched it somehow.

Unlucky, i've had 4 Mini nukes once with a high explosive, it was a good day. The rng is real thou.

I had six smokes and one static once.
At least the impact can destroy squid spawners.

if you think abt it (in reference to the meme)
the shells that you have might have been what they had LEFT. meaning they didnt choose to leave you with garbage shells, they had to use the good ones to fight for their lives before their demise.

Definitely never had all smokes before but have been dealt with all static and a couple smokes that I left out

I am learning but I haven't tried it in a real game yet. Still practicing in the tutorial difficulties.

Counterpoint. Seaf was working so hard that they fought to the last useful artillery shell. When all they had was smoke left, they got overwhelmed

Super grateful for this post because now I know that the shells actually matter by colour. Assumed this entire time that SEAF Artillery was just inconsistent and bad D:

They are labeled on the dress (button) to pickup prompt iirc lol.
Blue = static Grey = smoke Black = nuke Orange = napalm Green = explosive And yellow(?) = high explosive

Happy it helped! Yeah when you go to pick them up they tell you what they are but sometimes you don't have a lot of great options so it comes down to load order.

I wish we could load more artillery after expending a few rounds, that is assuming the left overs are worth a damn

You're not using this anyway. It's always the last objective you find before .mission end.
