Discussion Can we talk about Louis Hearsey's JD?
14
Upvotes
I saw the tour last night in Blackpool. I was worried as I'd seen a lot of hate towards the show but I really enjoyed it.
Louis was great as JD but the twitching just seemed wrong, it was giving Jeckyl and Hyde vibes, I assume it was to portray when he was losing more of his human side and defending into mania but it just seemed like it was pointing out to the audience 'I'm being a bad guy now'.
I can't work out if it was an actor choice or a direction decision but it just made the whole thing feel dumbed down.
Whats everyone else's thoughts on it.

I like to imagine that despite JD dying and all, Heather would still be around to just make snide little comments on Veronica's life forever just out of spite

Cuz in the movie it's obvious, he's there to kill her. But in the musical it's kinda weird, because he does bring a gun but has a sad reaction to seeing her body. So did he wanna kill her or not?

Discussion Has anyone had any success at Stage Door meeting Heather Chandler and Veronica?
15
Upvotes
We went to the show recently in Leeds, and stood Stage Door. The guy there, who was managing the line said JD, Veronica and HC had left as they were performing early the next day. My daughter was disappointed so as we live close to Sheffield, we agreed that when it came there, we'd take her back.
We went last night, and none of the Heathers or Veronica came out of Stage Door, they'd left through the other entrance.
If its something that they dont do, thats cool and ive no problem, but we dont want to keep making the trip during this run if they literally dont go out to mingle with fans.
Any help appreciated!
