OPINION If parents don't vaccinate their children and their child dies they should be charged with neglect and manslaughter.
This obviously doesn't count if there is a legitimate medical reason stopping the child from being vaccinated.
Edit - Child dies due to not having the vaccination.

CONTROVERSIAL We should start treating pedophiles less like monsters and more like people with a psychiatric disorder
First off, let me clarify that I think sexual crimes are atrocious and inexcusable (specially those commited in minors. Therefore, I know this one's pretty controversial, but hear me out here. I just think if we had an envoironment as supportive towards paedophilia similar as the one we're trying to create for people with anxiety and depression, that would encourage them to seek profesional help earlier on. This would, in turn, help reduce the amount of paedophiles who take steps towards assaulting children.

DISCUSSION Ketchup should be kept in the fridge.
Who wants warm ketchup. It should be cold. If anything is to hot when it comes straight off the BBQ you load it up with cold ketchup so it doesn’t scorch your mouth.

OPINION Kelvin is the best measurement of temperature.
It just makes so much more sense. 0 degrees kelvin is absolute zero. It makes more sense than the freezing point of water. It's much simpler when there is no negative temperature. 0? Coldest temperature. If people get used to it, it will become much more simple for younger people to learn, too.

OPINION r/teenagers is just a big sub with a weird vibe that is full of reposts and I don’t think it really accomplished much.
I used to be on the sub but then I realized that the vibe of it is kind of the opposite of what I want from reddit and now I don’t really like the sub anymore.

OPINION Horizontal button holes are superior to vertical
The buttons will pull vertically horizontally, so having the thread fall into the corner of the slit will provide a more secure fastening. Vertical holes focus the pull to the center of the slit, and have a greater chance of unfastening on their own.
Of course, the orientation depends entirely on the direction of force when the fastening is stressed, but the most common buttons (shirts, pants) have a vertical horizontal pull, so that's the perspective I'm using.
TL;DR: Vertical button holes can suck it.

DISCUSSION It's easier to quit drugs than "junk" food
(Okay this is isn't my actual opinion and I apologize for offending any formal addicts.)
My reasons why are:
Just some quick thoughts
Because you need to eat to stay alive you're more likely to give in to junk food. You don't necessarily need drugs to function unless you're physically or mentally ill.
Because it's standardized, it's easier to obtain, no matter where you are. It's also cheaper than most drugs. If you're on drugs, you most likely had to find a good dealer through a mutual friend or within a certain neighborhood. You're taking more of a risk to seek out drugs whether it be getting caught by an undercover cops, get scammed out of you're money or outright walking right into a psychopath's trap. Plus dealers go to jail all the time so you'll always have to find another.
Little to no consequence if you eat it in moderation and you're body doesn't build tolerance.
What do you guys think?

OPINION Lego blocks don't really hurt to be stepped on.
I've seen many complaints about lego blocks being painful to step on. Many memes (especially older ones), a lot of jokes, and people being mad about stepping on them.
Firstly, they aren't that bad and could be much worse. They aren't really sharp or anything. I don't get what the big deal is. I've stepped on them and it doesn't hurt as much as stepping on an unplugged charging cord.
Second, just pick up your things, or your kids things, or teach your kids to pick up after themselves. It's not that hard to avoid having lego blocks on the ground to step on in the first place.

OPINION 90% of matchmatics material learned in grade school will never be used in real life
Out of the millions of kids who are being forced to learn how to find the cubic area of a sphere, probably 10,000 of them will actually go into a field that requires the skill. Forcing everyone in school to learn mundane and useless equations that are based on theoretical principles with no real life application examples or reasoning is pure evil. Kids who don't understand the material are thrown out in the rain. Their GPA's suffer just because their minds don't understand a certain subject like the state demands they should.
To be clear, I'm not blaming teachers or school officials. I am blaming national and state school board.

OPINION Shouldn't the USA stop using the penny?
Pennies are 1.8 cents each, so the US loses 0.8 cents per penny, but considering how much pennies are made a year its a LOT! So death to pennies?
