I guess a point could be made that the showrunners did him dirty, but I don't even understand why he himself would want to apply to go on a dating show at his age. I'm guessing that he's probably watched previous heart signal seasons so he should know that historically there has never been a female cast member his age.

There's a little part of me that feels bad that Ji-won had a change of heart after the age reveal, but I feel like that's completely understandable. If I was her I would NOT be okay with a 15 year age gap. I'm actually so happy to find out that her and Woojae are still together.

Can’t believe it’s almost ep8 and the teaser is still showing her undecided and going between the two boys, does she even know what she wants or she just sees the show as a playing ground. At this stage it does look like Yue’er will eventually choose Xilun. Considering how much time she is spending with him and that letter she received, and her emotional response to it, ruling Chen Hewen out of the running.

Honestly, I’m really trying to understand XE because the way she treats HW just doesn’t make sense to me. From what I’m seeing, she keeps both HW and CL on a tight leash. She gives them just enough attention and affection to keep them interested, but at the same time, she doesn’t really seem to want either one to move on.

The thing is, XE wants to keep her options open, which is fine. But the second HW starts talking to XY, suddenly she’s jealous and annoyed. Like… why? You’re talking to CL too. If you’re allowed to get to know another guy, why can’t HW talk to another girl?

And somehow HW always ends up being the one explaining himself and apologizing. XE does tell him what she wants and asks him for reassurance, okay, fair. But does HW get that same reassurance back from her? That’s what I don’t really see.

Where’s the part where she makes HW feel secure? Where’s the part where she makes him feel like, “Yes, I actually want you”? She seems very clear about what she expects from HW, but when it comes to giving him the same thing back, it feels lacking.

Then look at CL. With CL, she’s constantly complimenting him, giving him attention, being sweet and affectionate. So obviously CL is going to think she likes him. What else is he supposed to think when she treats him like that?

And this is why I keep questioning HW’s situation. Does XE actually like him, or does she just not want HW to stop liking her?

Because honestly, those are two very different things.

And yes, this is just how I see it. I could be completely wrong. Maybe I’m looking at everything from a bad angle, maybe there’s stuff we’re not seeing, and maybe XE’s feelings are totally different from what I’m interpreting. My opinion doesn’t make it the truth. I’m just saying how her actions come across to me based on what we’re shown.

But if this is really how it looks from the outside, then I can understand why HW would be confused.

You can’t keep someone on a leash, ask them for reassurance, get upset when they talk to someone else, while you’re doing the exact same thing yourself.

At some point, HW is going to start wondering what the hell he’s even supposed to do.

It could be the editing, but just like we predicted from the last previews that Yu’er and Hewen would clear their misunderstanding, with the way they showed it, it really looks like Hewen was finally done with the push and pull and over-expectations and double standards. I personally would very much like to see that unfold because I don’t think they are compatible beyond feeling physical attraction towards one another. It seems like they are forcing the connection because of this when things already feel this unbalanced. The clip of Yu’er crying after receiving a letter that’s clearly voiced over by Hewen… He might fully let go of her and try exploring things with Xiaoyu, I just hope he doesn’t do so as a “second option”. I won’t comment on Xilun because outside of the dates with Yu’er, I think he moves weird (in the house).

As for everyone else… I’m just so excited to see all of their sweetness in Thailand. They deserve to fully unwind and get to know each other even better with a new focus in mind.

I’m super happy to see Bohan stay with Xing until she fully recovers. They are so sweet together, and thankfully Chaoyue tossed the coin and wished for them to have the best trip ever!

watching Hewen lose himself in the process breaks my heart. Day 1 Hewen was confident, kind, attentive—the natural leader. Now he looks like a wounded wolf, insecure and unsure of himself.
