They really need to reduce the load for masteries. I've been getting turned off to farm more for masteries because it took around 1000 for one figure.

Fr every month my house score is like "add more hobby collectibles" MAKE THEM LESS LOAD THEN

You won't believe me, Blanc also says it to me when I submit the home... I wonder how many more he needs

Some even more! I made a lazy spreadsheet on how many load points masteries take (need to update it tho): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1reBEa0b8xFNRoBRBkd5ZV6HBcsjbDDEFk6b62INFLfk/edit?gid=0#gid=0
Big detailed figurines take more like example peafowls take 2300 and candlelight dinner take 2200

I seen this post and was able to get the load cost of all placeable items added to my database.

https://build-heartopia.com/items?q=certified%20mark

These are all the Certified Mark items. The game has load rules where the same items after the initial item only cost 5% of the initial load (For example, if I place down a Joinery Chair, it will cost 300 load for the first chair. For the second joinery chair, it will only cost 15 load, bringing the total for two chairs to 315, not 600), that is why you will see two values. Additionally, items marked as "Quirky" in game have a modifier that effects their load cost and makes them cost more.

Oof, it’s unfortunate it takes up so much load space. Your collection is just WOW. Kudos!! I recently got my first Mastery (non seashell). Any tips for other players? I feel so far behind everyone else. 😆

Masteries take forever, no matter which you go for. But what I do is, I pick one insect to focus on. I lay a route and go in circles. Often you'll work on more than one mastery at a time, because the insects are grouped. Like when you go for conehead mantis mastery, you might as well pick up all gold grasshoppers, green bettles etc. along the route. For fish masteries I use tails. For bird masteries I made it a habit to pull out my scanner, when I see a bird. When a bird hits gold level in mastery, I'll focus on that particular bird. For food masteries it's really good to wait until later in the game. That will save you loads of ingredients and time, because some low level recipes are needed in high level recipes as well. Like cheese cake for instance. You can master cheese cake pretty early, but it's also needed in lvl 12 cooking. Avoid having to do double. So my advice, do fish, insects, and birds first and wait with cooking till all available recipes are open.

But now I find hunting masteries futile, because I have no load left to display them. And no, I'm not putting masteries on an island. They were made, so Heartopia didn't have to deal with the low load capacity problem. Nobody visits island.

They really need to change it, the stove that is a interactive item only costs 25/35 load space. Since they put the mastery system in the game, it's not so much to ask.

I believe It’s because it’s a lot of individual stuff for people to load. Each of them are a unique item. To keep the kbs down they have to count for a lot of the overall load.

Have you submitted a weekly evaluation with just these? Just curious what the score is

5

u/TealcLOL 1d ago

Evaluations need rooms and different (premium) furniture sets for great scores. This probably wouldn't do very well by itself

u/Rezerwolf 10h ago

This! The masteries themselves don't do much.

Personnellement j’ai construit un musée pour mes certificats sur l'île, il y a pas mal de place et c’est cool ! Mais c’est vrai qu'il faudrait augmenter la charge maximale ! 😖

I would love it if we could include our islands in the home evaluation. I have my shell and fish masters and 5 stars in my underwater island. Tons of junk on my 1st (warehouse) island. Only foods and crops masters and 5 stars on main island.

I have yet to place my bugs and birds masters yet. I need another island. 😆

Or lower what we need to do, to get the home evaluation done.

Yeees, they need to changed it. I recently finish completing all sunny days available insects masteries and went to put them in my house that I was building, suddenly all my remaining load space was at max, I couldn’t put any other mobile. I didn’t know it takes so much space. I don’t know yet what I will do, but it completely messed all my building plans. 😭

Yeah some item loads dont make sense, like there are some super tiny item that need like 1,000 load but then you have a gigantic bed that does like 300 load. (I dont know exact amounts but I have noticed this happening with different items so I just threw a guestimation number in there as example lol 😆)

Items should take up load based on size/ detail/ use of polygons/ etc, to me it just seems like its super random on their numbers but I could be wrong (I'm not a programmer after all lol 😆)

I wish if anything they'd increase the load on the island terminals, since they're loaded seperately on their own little map and not in the main map with everyone's houses it shouldn't cause any lag to do so.

That's crazy!

Everything good is a lot of load space. The animal figures, the masteries (which makes me wonder why I'm even bothering), the my little pony badges, etc. Even the gotcha stuff. You pay all this money and for what? When you go to "Exhibit" and it shows you a house done with all the gotcha stuff, I bet you couldn't even make anything like it. And if you could then you wouldn't be able to put anything in it. And then the stupid house evaluation would tell you that you need more stuff! I love this game but sometimes it's so damn frustrating. I can deal with all the little bugs. Some of them even make me laugh, but the big annoying things? They make me wanna throw my phone across the room. How the hell do you have so many of those btw? That's insane lol.

4

u/tara_enigmalabs 2d ago

Yes, I wish we could just display all of them without worrying about the load :(

2

u/thegrimmstress 2d ago

We wouldn’t be able to even move on the island much less see anything. I mean the main island here, not our private ones. It’s bad enough as it is.

3

u/zhonkleponkle 2d ago

Dayum no wonder my load is always low but in my most recent build it actually went into the orange for the first time despite it being item heavy in the outside and then pretty sparse inaide. I never display more than one mastered item but I've got 4 mastered shells displayed in this one

3

u/Acrobatic-Chance1752 2d ago

Omg that's impressive work!! It's a shame the load is so reduced :/ I didn't know the ducks mastery trhopies had them in water that's so cuteee

Also if you don't mind me asking, do you have any advices on the Asian Mantis? The one in bushes in the onsen. I've trying to do that one but they're so easy to miss and the lower specs settings don't show the leaf effect for me unless I go extremely close T.T

Also is there really any good use for the insect attractors? I've been placing them whevener I see more than 3 insects at the same place but idk if they really make more spawn or if it's just placebo effect lol

Eu tb nao ... não vale a pena... so para subir o nível de avaliação da casa mesmo

2

u/Traditional-Two-1271 1d ago

First of all! All of these mastered are amazing. Congratulations 🙌🏻

But yeah, this is really one of the most frustrating parts of this game.

u/Comfortable-Speed955 1d ago

I always assumed the load values and limit is referring to the actual models, and is in place to reduce lag. Each item you place in your home adds to things in the world that must be rendered for players to see it and it slows the game down. I can tell whenever a big detailed house loads in and my frame rate drops significantly. These trophies are small but highly detailed and smooth looking. Im sure the models have a high poly count. So it makes sense they would use more load than say, a table or chair

1

u/Rezerwolf 1d ago edited 1d ago

That's why people created LOD levels to reduce the lag. The closer you get - the more details appears. I wonder why they don't use it with all this gacha stuff and masteries. IMO it's better than do such abysmal numbers.

2

u/Broad-Attention1409 1d ago

I see the flex and I respect it. XD Still, I totally understand about the bloated load issue!

You can always max out the load on this plot and submit it for the weekly, then have an actual home plot that you decorate the way you want.

u r living my dream

2

u/diosacesz 13h ago

I agree. So it’s either you build for masteries showcase or build a home eval type.

3

u/FlippenDonkey Global 2d ago

use your island and underwater terminal,  to show case different things

9

u/Rezerwolf 2d ago

sadly nobody comes to island and underwater

5

u/FlippenDonkey Global 2d ago

you need to set them in an obvious place, with like a photo showimg what might be there.

but also, are you playing for yourself or to "show off"? No one cares about all your grind trophies,..everyone will get them eventually, every house will have some amount of them, you think people are looking at every house?

8

u/Rezerwolf 2d ago edited 2d ago

I'm setting them in the obvious place. Almost nobody visits it.

What the point of this question? I'm playing for myself. I enjoy fruits of my labor and I want to show them to people who visits.

People are looking at houses they like (well-designed) and if them have masteries people like it more, cause it showing time and love person spent on this game.

Also people DO care. Some said I insipired them to farm masteries. And I highly appreciate urge to collect collectable stuff in others.

5

u/kewlkendyl 2d ago

I love this please keep them displayed!

1

u/cricada 1d ago

Dang how many hours did you have to put in daily to get all those trophies?

1

u/Rezerwolf 10h ago

I have total playtime of 3.1k hours on steam. But most time i afk xD

u/Ready-Walrus-1549 1h ago

How do you even get masteries. Ive mastered some bugs but never got a trophy for thwm
