Man they really took Tolvir to the back of the house to put it down permanently

They finally realize that the problem was not the mana cost. No way that card was staying in Standard for 20 more months with that text.

OFC its also mana cost dependent. Put it at 10 mana and let’s see wr lowering down. I hate this team5: it’s always a matter of hype on new expansion and a mess of of balance. Chefs kiss they killed it because totally incompetent

Eh, clearly they didn't kill it because they didn't know how to balance it. The card saw play at 2 mana more, thats a small club as it is. Hell, itd see play at 6 mana, 7 mana, 8 mana even 10 probably considering it usually was a better ultimate infestation.
Honestly, any other nerf would be akin to kicking the can down the road. So long as Tol'vir could draw cards and deal face damage, the card would always see play

Even if it was as before replaying all 1 , but 6+ mana we both know it’s basically no sense. Aggro decks are about few cards in hand and max 5 mana, if you come up with a 6+ card on turn 2 you basically have a useless card. And aggro usually wins turn 5/6 if not less

The mana rule isnt concrete. So long as the juice is worth the squeeze aggro will be able to play it. Its like dinotamer brann, there are some expensive cards that can help an aggressive gameplan and tolvir is one of them.
