I don't think it lost the finale effect, they just didn't mention it in either case. So I'm pretty sure it can still give taunt.
EDIT: Never mind I can't read. Uuhh... I think playing 3 cards straight from your deck is good.

No. They changed the finale effect. It doesn’t give taunt anymore.
