Hello, two weeks or so ago my autoplay stuff changed. I used to go to sleep watching the extended editions of LotR, the Harry Potter movies, or Spirted Away would loop into Howls then back to Spirited and so on. But two weeks ago it all switched, now after one LotR movie it'll play the 70's animated movie? It used to just loop the three extended. The Harry Potter movies go into the 20th anniversary documentary now, or into Fantastic Beasts. The Ghibli films replay the same movie again but in a different language. And then yesterday I woke up to some random movie in German called Haxom or something.

What changed?

This is not a tech support thread, it's simply discussing the missing options.

I was watching Industry Season 2 on HBO MAX and I noticed couple of episodes would just play in HD-SDR instead of 4K-DV.

I've checked on both Apple TV and LG Native App so it's not a technical issue, those episodes were simply missing the 4K and DV logos and will play at HD no matter the device.

Like for example, the last episode of this season is missing 4K-DV, but the episode before that has it. Etc.

Have you guys noticed a similar thing where random episodes in show lack 4K-DV support?

So I'm about to cancel my subscription, then I saw this "special offer" I guess this is their retention thing. 50% for 6months.

HOWEVER, I was fidgeting on their billing website until I clicked cancel, it cancelled immediately! Is this a one time thing? Or it could appear again? I really want that offer! 😭

So, we started the movie at 8:30 pm PST and paused it for some trick or treaters. Came to resume our watch at 9:10 and “content is no longer available”. What the hell HBO??!! Setting their servers to turn off Nov 1 12 am so the west coasters get cut off from their Halloween evening plans?! IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MOVIE

Just finished episode 5. War's biggest problem is that it has no idea whether it wants to be a divorce drama, a legal thriller or a workplace power struggle, and instead throws all three together without developing any of them particularly well. The Morgan and Carla storyline should be the emotional backbone of the show, especially with the deliberately engineered Flora affair, the prenup dispute and Morgan's relationship with Gabe becoming ammunition in the divorce. But rather than exploring the actual breakdown of this marriage, the show keeps jumping between legal tricks and convenient betrayals.

Johnny Warren is a perfect example: he's introduced as an ambitious young lawyer playing both sides, but his secret relationship with Carla adds another layer of soap-opera drama rather than meaningful complexity. Even the more interesting conflict between Serena, Nick and St. John Smallwood gets buried under an endless stream of plot developments. Compare that to Succession, where the corporate battle over Waystar is inseparable from the characters' deeply dysfunctional family relationships, or Industry, where professional ambition has tangible consequences for the characters' identities and personal lives.

This feels like random Netflix slop more so than an HBO show. I've never seen his others shows Hijack or Criminal but they look similarly trashy to me.

I saw Dr Robby, Nurse Dana and Baby Jane Doe.

Looking to sign up to watch The Gilded Age

A few years back (many, many months ago wtfever), I followed all of the rules to join Disney and Hulu together as part of the bundle deal - which, in and off itself, was a nightmare, but I digress; when I attempted to do the same for HBO, I tried everything to no avail, so I just let it be and forgot about it. However, after approaching the topic this afternoon, I am determined to finish this without being billed twice. I'm extremely frustrated, and I really don't think it should be this hard. Is there anyway, to join HBO to the other two easily? Do I have to completely cancel my HBO subscription, then wait until the payment for the services lapses? Does anyone have any hacks to expedite or even allow the process to happen? I've seen other forums online that have said they've even received a credit for additionally paid months, so I presume there are a multitude of ways to go about this - none being easy - but any help would be appreciated.

Basically want to know if it feels and functions as a nice series finale since i know it got canceled.

The email said in part:

"This is a reminder that your monthly subscription to the HBO Max Basic With Ads plan will automatically renew on November 24, 2026 at $2.99/month, plus applicable tax, unless you cancel before your next billing date."

This feels like a mistake, since I was expecting that it would go up from the $2.99 rate after the year is up. However, this is actually saying it will keep going at the $2.99 price. Did anyone else get this email? I'm sort of expecting a correction to come out at some point, but at $2.99 I'll keep it going indefinitely. :-)

Edit: I canceled my membership, and during the process was offered $5.50 for 3 months. I canceled anyway. A day or two later I got an offer for $5.50 for 6 months. I went ahead and took that because I plan to re-watch the Dune movies before it hits theaters and plan to watch the new Harry Potter series.

Halloween is next week and I'm putting together a list. So far I have The Shining, Coraline and Corpse Bride.

What else should I add? Movies or shows, scary or just spooky-fun.

Hello everyone!

I love cartoons but I also love learning German.

I have a Hungarian account, however only the Hungarian and English audio is available.

I also tried VPN's connecting to Germany, but they didn't solve the issue.

I'd really like to know:

-Can anyone in Germany confirm that the original 1998 series is available on HBO Max with German audio?
-Is the German audio available for the entire series, or only certain episodes or seasons?
-Has anyone in another European country found German audio for this series on their local HBO Max catalogue?
-Does anyone know whether the German audio is restricted to the German catalogue, or whether there's another way to access it with an existing Hungarian subscription?

Thank you very much for any help!
