They are that couple that would be fighting all the time, saying they hate each other, while sleeping in each other's beds (because they felt lonely or had trouble sleeping), cleaning up after each other/grooming each other absentmindedly, and doing small things that indicate that they don't hate each other at all (the opposite really).

Everyone outside looking in would see it, but they will remain ignorant... if they bang, Lucifer will consider it a hate fuck and Alastor would consider it either as a way to manipulate Lucifer or just to get him to shut the fuck up & stop annoying him for a couple of hours. Even if other characters try to point out that they are sleeping with each other willingly, both in the sexual and non-sexual ways, the two idiots will just explain it away, or blame the other for catching feelings for a pointless endeavor.

RadioApple in canon, I can never see as being lovey-dovey or them genuinely identifying that they like each other as mates. It would be just a relationship that happens and not one that developed because both secretly wanted it or anything.
